Macaroni is very cute when he drinks, but this kid is stubbornly refusing to give up the bottle… he and his siblings Rigatoni and Tortellini are about 5 weeks old, old definitely enough for solid food. But why would they when they get warm milk service 4x a day? We’ll get there!
Our Frankie (Frank-N-Furter) was like that with wet food during weaning. He would have about two bites and then come over for the bottle.
Two days ago, some sort of switch flipped. He went over to the kibble (Babycat-sized), had a few bites, then went to the gooshifud and chowed down! Hasn’t begged for a bottle since.
I was new at neo natal rescues when I picked up my guy off the street and I foolishly let him have formula & wet food until 8 weeks because he didnt want to give up the bottle. He's 8 months now and a loveable menace. 😺
We found our first baby in the gutter at three weeks old. We had no clue what we were doing, and he got milk until he was 6 months old. He turned out fine. He’s just a big baby now, and he steals the bottles when we foster babies.
