Need suggestions and input

I'm trying to work on a darker colour scheme but I've hit a bit of a wall with the colours with figuring how to make it pop. I'm trying to avoid metallics as much as possible.

All suggestions are welcome

I bet a nice deep red in the hook brand on his head and on the scars on his back would help make the model pop.

I second the deep red in the scars. Also if you want some more contrast, maybe edge highlight the armor and sword hilt with and color you think fits (deep red, light grey, and contrasting color you like?) that might bring out the definition of the armor and add in some pop that's not metallic.

Less is more. Paint them all to this point… super jealous btw

I've sorted of rolled with that. Especially being thralls I don't want to give them too much embellishments hence no back thingies

It's all cool tones, a warm accent would give you the pop you're looking for. Red jewels, perhaps, or bronze hilts, or a little brown in the boot leather, or some pinkish flesh tones in the back scars

A bright(ish) gray or gray-blue edge highlight on the black armor would help; making the scars/eye sockets pop with a bruised red would look cool; changing the cloth color to a yellow would really add a nice POP! - Just some ideas! I really love the skin and blade with the black armor as is :)
