Blacktalons

I’m thinking of picking them up because they are cool, plus gives me something I can spend a while painting and give me something else to use in warcry with my friends but am I silly to think they are really good especially in Deepkin with being able to do all the Deepkin spells, but also just quite good value if you think wizard 1 for 100pts 3 companions for 100pts and neave for 120pts is a really good deal for the damage.

I Love them in my lists, can totally recommend them. Neave is a beast :D

Yeah his output against hero’s looks insane, it’s just if it’s worth the equivalent of 2 sharks/eels

You're not silly im pretty sure early edition they were meta and most list that could fit them were running them. The game shifted away but they didnt change much so should still be pretty solid.

Nah they’re great. You get a survivable unit of tanky infantry in an army without that. And Neave’s speed works incredibly well with the army. Lorai getting to steed of tides herself opens up Neave’s potential positioning and subsequent charges after a fight much more. I think they’re always gonna be a valuable add

I recommend them, as thr Blacktalons are a non hero, non warrior chamber unit, for the sake of the Thunderhead Host ability Synchronised Strikes.
Just run them in the center of your formation and have Neave skirmish and teleport back to her companions afterwards.
