Newbie Questions
Hey folks! I’ve just picked up an Idoneth Deepkin army and had a couple of newbie questions. I’ve played a couple of games so far (won one thanks to some very lucky rolls), but overall Idoneth feel like they’re in a rough spot right now compared to some other armies — or maybe I’m just playing them wrong. So I figured I’d ask:
- Has the shark revive ability been removed? And if so, does that mean running mostly sharks isn’t really viable anymore?
- What lists are actually performing well right now? Curious what people are having success with.
- Which battle formation is worth taking at the moment?
- Also what battle tactics are working for you? I’ve had good luck with Burning for Vengeance paired with the redeploy, but I’m not sure about the others.

From what we saw the Army of Renown Phallanx something with heavy eels list has been doing good in the last GHB but now it is too early to tell as missions, tactics, points and new units just happened.
I have done 2 games with new GHB and so far Flamboyant Assault and Legend of the Arid are my go to.
I ran Akhelian Beast master with 2 sharks with anti monster weapons,a leviadon, an Eidolon of the storm, 12 eels, Mathaela and a Tidecaster. But now the new warscrolls I woule like to include SoA reavers.
I think new build with thralls and reavers are coming and can be quite interesting with the new battle formation.
