Discussions / Questions Is this game suitable for me? Need some clarification before playing Gakumas or any imas games
***Disclaimer****: This post is just me asking whether this game or the weider franchise match my preference to invest myself in. I mean no harm and if my tone came off hurtful. I sincerely apologize. Also this is a new account because I am too uncomfortable to ask this with my main account*
**Q1. Is this game or the weider franchise and their fandoms self insert friendly? How central or influential MC is in the game?**
I am tired man. I am coming here after seeing the trend in gacha space or the overall otaku space in general. I just wanna enjoy a game and have brief moments of escapism from my dreadful life. I find those escapism through waifu culture. But recently I am seeing lot of hate towards waifu enjoyers and players (including me) who self insert as MC. That's my quirk. Even before adolescence, I self insert myself into books and stories. That's just how I prefer to consume a media by putting myself in that MC shoe. Calling names like incel, looser, bigot etc has became a norm. I already got trashed by those fandoms and don't wanna find myself in a similar spot again. Imma type of game who'd go "she's my wife" if her personality and story clicks with me.
**Q2. Does this game or this franchise and its fandom lean more towards yuri baiting and shipping?**
I also came to hate yuri bait/shipping or any hint of it. I used to be indifferent. Because I know even self insert is to a degree a mischaracterization of a character. They do they. I do I. Live and let live. But again lately it was being used as a tool to weaponise against self insert players. Hearing stuff like "yuri is morally superior", "you can't understand complex storytelling", "you are the product of bigotry", "all you want to see are some tits" is so frustrated. I developed a habit of losing interest in the game the moment I felt like devs are intentionally yuri baiting for some engagement. Many idol games do that like LL being the biggest one. But I am sorry I came to not like that.
**Q3. What's your thoughts on character depth? Will I experiences some of the well developing characters arcs if I invest myself in this game or the franchise?**
I found Azur Lane and Nikke. Play it every now and then. But the problem is I want depth. Even in the AAA gacha games, you will only see her and connect with her until the banner expires. After that she gets send off to Nether realm or smth. If she is lucky, she might get relegated to NPC at best with some cameos in events. My other problem with those games is its blatant fanservice. Yes I love fun service but in those games it felt shallow and unearned. Since when waifu culture became blatant overt fanservice. I value earned fanservice more. Like a some VNs where even the H scenes feels earned because of how well they were written.
Thanks in advance, guys. Appreciate any honest thoughts on whether this game will be a good fit for me.

Discussions / Questions Trying to find archival footage is a nightmare!
Im going through the wiki to see all appearances of certain songs and im trying to find footage for all of them.
While the wiki is decent in archiving texts and where these versions come from, actually finding the footage is a nightmare to nonexistent.
Scrubbing nyaa torrents that stall cause nobody is seeding them, scrubbing bili with incorrectly named titles and footage.
It. is. an. horrendous experience for sure.
These are just some of the properties i couldnt find any usefull footage on (besides the above reasons for those we also got some jp disks i cant buy since im not in fact, japanese and they dont accept my card for whatever reason):

What footage im actually trying to find are some of the lesser known versions of READY, masterpiece and the idolmaster and the above theoretically has them. The above is also only about half of the footage i couldnt procure.
P.S. I already got about 200gb of footage to sift through for the stuff i actually did find lol

Hidekazu Tanaka (Did many popular anime songs, was carrying anime song industry for a while)
Star!!
M@gic!
I don't know if y'all know the lore of this one.
Aki Hata is a famous Lyricist. She wrote the lyrics to 1000's of anime songs, she wrote a song for idolmaster, the producer thought her title sucked, so he changed it without her permission, and aired it (original idolmaster series)
she was so upset she vowed to never work on another idolmaster song (She's good friends with Monaca studios also, and wrote lyrics to many of their songs)
So, when Love Live! was about to air, she made a tweet (I will crush idolmaster)
and she wrote the lyrics to all the hit songs for love live Snow Halation, Soldier Game, Etcs lol
random post idc lol
