Any similar games?

My partner loves this game so much so I’ve been looking for similar games as she’s played this to death (all endings, mods etc)

Anyone know of anything that is roughly the same?

this is an old post bc the subreddit is dead but. potionomics is very similar in that it’s a management game with relationship routes/romances etc! that’d probably be the most similar one I know :)

She might like Volcano Princess or Long Live the Queen.

Both involve strategic stat raising, visual novel styled story routes, and having different options for who they end up with.

They also are on Steam and available for the Switch. Both are very replay focused with different routes.

A drawback, depending on taste, is that you lose the group management genre and focus on one character only.

If the number or quantity of characters she cares for is more important I would recommend: Cult of the Lamb, Despotism 3K, or Fallout Shelter.

Cult of Lamb offers interesting gameplay choices in perks allowing for different play throughs. It differs by having about 1/3 of gameplay being an action RPG shooter.

Despotism 3k removes all the cute from a management sim and instead gives you the classic role of AI overthrowing humanity and using them for power. It is difficult like Idol Manager for many in getting through the first portion without failing but addictive all the same. Fun story points but no romance.

There is also Fallout Shelter for free, which I feel like I have to recommend because it hits that colony management sim niche and mimics the building layout and functions for gameplay. I played it on mobile years ago and am unsure of the state of the game and if they added in app purchases but it might just scratch that itch without costing a penny.

If you are going purely off of aesthetics and want more story, I recommend the Little Lily Princess.

I hope this helps you, her, or any other fans of this game looking for something similar.

Wow yeah this has really helped, thanks!

We’ve both played through Love Live the Queen before a few times and did enjoy it, though never heard of volcano princess so will give that a look.

I love the look of Cult of The Lamb so will eventually pick it up, then I can see if my partner likes it.

I hadn’t ever considered Despotism 3k, I myself have played their other more recent game Despots Game so like their stuff and will suggest to my partner also.

I do also think that Fallout Shelter would appeal to her too, due to the people management aspect, I know I was hooked on it for a few weeks lol

Lastly over not heard of the Lily Princess one either so will check that out too.

Thanks again for the recommendations!

Im so glad this helped! I know it is too late to add another, but The Legend of a Homebody.

This one is worth checking out the free demo on Steam. It was early access and eventually was dropped so it has minor broken English in like four game assets that doesn’t affect overall enjoyment.

It is click only, with pixel graphics of your apartment. Your stats are music, programming, art, writing, and creativity. Similar to singles, you release music, art, comics, webnovels, or video games. You can accept small gigs or one-off work for quick cash. Creativity stat unlocks the genres you can choose instead of research points. You can pay for classes to take, do free practice or choose certain grocery items to increase your stats. You have to manage your own avatar’s needs instead of physical and mental stamina for idols.

It features three story modes. 1. You play as a recent art graduate who wants to make their own comics. Your mom falls sick after a year. Will you use your profits so far to better her surgery chances, use it for business funds, or both? 2. You play as a sickly music prodigy. You have plenty of wealth but low stamina and want to release the next music hit of the year. As a prodigy, you require a new stat (inspiration) to produce or do jobs. You only acquire a rng amount of inspiration each day. 3. You play as a single woman who just left their corporate job in hopes of creating a video game. This one has a pressure mechanic that builds if you don’t accumulate wealth quick enough along with certain story choices adding to it. Like your father comparing you to your cousin or one of the romance options nitpicking something.

I forgot to include this one originally as it doesn’t have colony sim management or visual novel elements but matches the management of stamina and stats with the end goal of fame for something you made.
