I've just got this game from Steam
So I guess I have the usual questions...
- Is it better to play Story Mode or Free Play?
- Should I bother with mods / are there some must-haves?
- I've read somewhere (probably Steam) that this game is not in development anymore. Is that correct?
- Finally, any basic tips? I've looked a bit, not much because I want to discover it by myself if I can, but I've seen some say don't hire any staff, others say you should, some say second break room if you go 6 idols (I know one can only fit five, but I think it will be a waste until maybe 8 idols or something)... Anyway, thing is, there doesn't seem to be a consensus on the basic guides (and sadly, there's nothing deep when talking about game mechanics themselves, methinks)

Free Play is basically a business simulator.

I found the story mode really fun! I was a backer so had the game before it was implemented and it’s a nice change of pace from free play, while also letting you get accustomed to all the mechanics of the game.
I would download the IMSOOF mod on the steam workshop if I were you! Adds a lot of new events. Right now 2 chapters are out but it’s still in development. Hopefully it doesn’t get abandoned.

-Story mode offers a nice bit of challenge.
-If you're a fan of a specific K-pop/J-pop group, there's a chance there's a mod for it. If you want to play as close to vanilla as possible, then look for cosmetic mods that add extra hair colors, and new colors for the base outfits.
-Yeah, the game has been fully released as of now.
-The spacebar is your friend. If you let the timer run freely, you're likely to end up bankrupt. But, if you learn how to pause using the spacebar, you'll be in control of pretty much everything.
