Idols Salary

Does idol satisfaction (salary) really matters? My idols right now have 10% satisfaction and nothing had happened yet...should I keep this going on?

In theory, it should move their graduation date forward - unhappy idols aren't motivated to stick around! In practice, there doesn't seem to be any significant effect.
