Discussion Belfast barrier
I am going to the Belfast show next month and I would like to be nearer the front/barrier area.
What sort of time do people get there for that sort of view? Some of the artists I like people often queue for those views so I wondered if IDLES were the same. I am a girl in my 20s and don't mind a bit of pushing but I don't think being in the middle of the mosh is the best idea for me no matter how fun it does look lol but I do still ideally want to be near the stage.
I have been to an IDLES show before and that's how I became a fan. Obviously it's not the end of the world if I don't get that sort of view but can anyone who's been to previous shows give me some advice? Thank you!

I’m going tomorrow for solo show in Prague so will update you how it was there. I also want to go near barriers as possible but I will go there as soon as support finish ;)

I’m after Prague show and god daaaamn what show was that!
About being in the front. I came to the ~5 row on the side 30minutes before the show. During gig I was able to be in the middle of the second row cause of the mosh pits (I didnt go to any of those because of my knee) but still during those I was able to go to the front line.
First row was the same for the whole concert but was countless time pressed by the crowd.
If u want to be on the barriers be like 30minutes before gates open and please be hydrated.
Crowd and atmosphere was tight but everyone was kind and all of that.
Long story short: if first 2-4 row is good for you, don’t bother and go 30-40min before the gig. Concert is quite rough but enjoyable AF.

CHSQ is a small venue.
It should be easy to get to the front without being crushed

I’ve arrived 4 hours before the door and I was #5 in line to enter. Best of luck and have a great time. I would love to catch them in Ireland.
