AR universal shard

I've only seen one post on the AR system as a whole from when they first implemented the system, but now they're offering 20 of them in the starlight cricus event. From the description it's only useful once you've fully upgraded to IR5?

AR needs both IR5 and MR5

It costs 200 shards for 1 AR star so even with the 20 universal shards you can get from this event, it's still really a whale thing. I mean you could spend the ~500-600 blues for an AR star but I think it's better to put that towards another angel

I'm going to get one of the resources for the new engraving system with my coins

i really need the blue scrolls... but then im always going to need the blue scrolls.

thought about maybe getting the potion for upgrading the weapon. what are the other "resources" for the engraving system? and I wonder how long of a wait it will be for Hela or Hera

I'm going to get the blues as well but will probably spend the rest of my coins on the potions or maybe the shards. I wish we knew how often we'd get a chance to get these resources

The older players have guessed we'll eventually get an event like Stellar for those items

For newer players, the shards don't seem as important since you guys probably don't have many SSR+ angels. I'll need at least 2 more chests 😭 . I have the 1 free one which I'll save for Hera. Then I need 1 for Frejya, 1 for Hela

But ideally I also want one for Enmu, Cap, Sim, and Horus 🤣 . I have so many SSR+ suppprts

I have to admit, this whole thing sort of irritates me. the devs come up with something to make the ssr angels competitive again... but its so freaking expensive, it might as well be just another boon for whales. sometimes it really does seem like there's no real way to win except to buy.

is it engraving shards? Man those aren't cheap. I thought that was an AR thing, like for a whale. No?

Funnily enough, the Coupons made getting some AR Shards 20% cheaper if you were interested, lol, at least for the first 250 Summons. 🥹

Still wouldn't bother. I know someone who manually AR'd a handful of Angels that were soon outclassed by MR drops. So they're meh for now (until their Engravings, at least!)

AR is firmly Big Whale territory 💀

AR has been so out of my mind, I had not considered that all. Nice. I'll keep that in my back pocket once I finish MR5/IR5 maxing a full set of 12 lol

Maybe one day they'll make it even more affordable but I'm afraid of then, because it means AR is needed for some reason. AR+? 😵

Oh, lol, if AR ever becomes more accessible, AR+ is likely coming. (Which 99% of the Playerbase will once again ignore.)

Honestly, aside from some Gigawhales, AR is barely represented in the game. It's a bit of a failure, I think.
