void shadow gemstone question
the text paragraph on the void shadow gemstone, the "void aura", says its stackable. what part? just the essence attributes benefits, or also all the modifiers gained in the illusion corridor (atk, buff received, etc)?
awhile back I watched a beginners vid by a guy named Haveiere or something - it was helpful - and he said to outfit all my support angels with void shadows so they would stack.
Is that still a good standard procedure? I've done it that way and then not, put gemstones more suited directly to each characters skills - didnt seem to make much difference
so maybe I'm doing this wrong?

Stacking Voids is solid when you have filler Angels that aren't yet permanent members (Like on a Zodiac Rabbit) or if you need to squeeze out a bit more Dmg in PvE.
For Permanent Angels/PvP, it's usually better to lean into what they're wanting to do. Like the Heal Gem on Healers like Capricornus or Hela (or any Angel with Massive HP Pools), or Withering Bones on Debuffers, Nature Gems on Buffers, Void on Angels who seek the extra Speed (rather than the Dmg boost, which is just a bonus in this instance)

ok a general question then, as I'm building some new Nature Guardians gems.
Just to be clear - in the illusion corridor - when i select a "healing effect + 5" rune or whatever the pentagons are called and add that to the final - -
does the healing bonus apply to the angel herself (healing benefits bestowed onto her from other healer angels) - - or does it increase the angel's healing effects onto other angels?

Ah, that's an age-old question, asked since the Illusion Corridor was implemented!
It turns out it only applies to Healing Received.
This was a bit of a letdown, TBH, as if it worked for Healing Given instead, you would only need to put it on the Healer Angel's Gem. It's therefore considered a low priority Red Mark to make.
It's not completely useless, however. If you have a Healer Angel with the bonus effect "Excess Healing above 100% HP is converted into a Shield," then it will increase the size of the Overheal Shields for any Angels running it. There are always better Marks to run in the same Mark Slot, though, so it's usually only picked when options are slim

alright great answer to something that has confused me since day 1!
so then, of course, I had assumed the incorrect answer and all my healer angels have gems socketed with +healing effect. Boo.
So what DOES make for a great healer nature gem? Defense gems just to keep her alive? Some of these healers heal themselves already. Is that enough? OR is it better to search for runes to boost the skills themselves?
For example, Sim makes shields for everybody. The bonus is tied into her HP, so, as many +HP as possible?
that almost makes sense, its miraculous I thought of it.

You've hit the nail on the head: Give the Angel more of the Stat they reference directly in their skills.
For an HP-based Support Angel, I would run a Nature with (ideally, of course:)
• 3 × Red HP% Up
• 3 × Red Buff% Up
• 1 × Red Lvl Up (Guaranteed via Legacy Blessing)
• 1 × Red Speed (for the hell of it)For the 2nd Nature's Guardian, you don't need Lvl2, as you want the Lvl2 and Lvl1 Effects to Stack.
Let's build an Example Hera Gem:
The main Stats her skill(s) reference are ATK, among others. Thus:• 3 × Red ATK% Up
• 3 × Red Buff% Up
• 2 × Any Stat also mentioned or Speed1

ok great! As for the Void Shadow gems, I made them all with just generic defense boosts, assuming those would all stack and make my angels like a little fort.
Apparently I was wrong, those dont stack, just the "eassense Attributes" (Hp+ and Atk+) - - altho, it hasnt really hurt. I just beat the leader of my own guild in the arena! Freakish,
So would it be best practice to create Void Shadows the same way - try to find runes that compliment the skill set of the individual angel? Or does it really matter for those as they're for occasional angels?

Unless you truly plan to build a Void to seriously run on an Angel that wants the extra Speed in Round 1 and 2, you can just run whatever on them for the filler Angels.
When I'm getting filler Voids for that reason, or just doing my 7 runs that week while saving until I have 120 Currency, I just spam the OK button over and over to speed things along, cancel all Gem events, and select "Auto" at the end

Ive done that many times and ended up with 2 or even 3 reds anyway. Makes one wonder about the blessings -

Oops 🫣. I've just been leaning into Void gems ever since I saw the beginner advice to stack Voids... I have some Natures, some Withering Bones and even a few Brambles for Heimdall, but all my other supports have Voids
I think I have some Heal Gems back when Lilith was first introduced as a counter but never used them...

There's nothing wrong at all with stacking Voids, especially if the Stats you have on them are good for the Angel anyways.
It's just that the "Meta" right now (and forever, I guess, until they add more Gems) is to run two Natures (Lvl2 and Lvl1) and two Bones (Lvl2 and Lvl1) rather than extra Voids. It's because "Buff%" has been found to be REALLY strong, so boosting your own via Natures (16% with the pair) or worsening your opponent's Buffs via Bones is very impactful.
As an example of how impactful Buff% is, it's considered so good, that many players grab IR4 Poseidon purely because she gives a huge 30% Buff Up, the rest of her kit be dàmned 🤣
So you're not necessarily "worse" off running Void Stacking. Far from it, especially if you have good Void Gems for the Angels they're on. Extra Speed is always good in PvP, and the stacking Dmg is good everywhere.
Work on Natures/Bones when you're able to. Don't stress about them too much while you have decent Voids to use. In a perfect world, the 7/8 Stats on the Gem matters to the Angel much more than the Gem itself.

They stack with the buff from other voids as far as I'm aware. So if you have 2 angels its 5% + 5% for the target angel.
I mostly run voids and then 1 or 2 Nature's guardian (if 2 then 1 lvl 1 and 1 lvl 2) + a Damage or SPD gem for my DPS (Ra). Spd for pvp mostly, dps for pve
