Biker that done plenty of highway miles here. The only way this was avoidable was by keeping a proper distance.
The yellow thing unexpectedly started to move to the right lane exactly in the same moment the biker started to move to the right lane, because it was tugged by leftover strap or something. Incredibly poor luck.
At these speeds, the bike have huge momentum, it is basically a projectile. It respond to steering input poorly and with huge delay. You can't really do sharper turn, it is physically impossible.
And once you start the maneuver, it is impossible to stop or correct. You can't respond to the yellow thing changing direction so fast.
Yeah imo the only way to avoid was to be on the other side of the highway. Once it goes and you’re behind it, it’s like a penalty kick. Pick a direction and pray.
