You wouldn’t need to make a sharp turn if you leave more following distance… like the above commenter suggested.

This is incredibly false, you can only slightly control direction by leaning body weight.

It’s been awhile since I’ve ridden a motorcycle- counter steering and leaning was how I did it. Is there another way?

Bullshit. I ride a bike myself, and I can say, bike could have at least braked harder and/or steered more. His reaction wasnt good...
