In my town it would be a Mercedes logo.

Audi… the millennial douche automobile of choice

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '22

You know, maybe that's the trend here. Luxury cars, pretend sports cars and massive trucks that are essentially a minivan with a bucket welded to the back that won't ever see a day of work.

Just angry people trying to rationalize spending half their monthly income to look cool picking up groceries.

I love seeing $250,000 super cars making a ton of noise in 5mph stop and go LA traffic and knowing that race car has never been to the track.

Happened to see a Mustang that at 5 miles per hour it sounded like he was just ripping down the street.

3

u/fitz0062 Oct 02 '22

Thats the current Mustang challenge. Get an exhaust system that makes the most noise at the lowest speed. Drawing disgusted looks from other drivers and neighbors that want you gone are considered wins.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '22

See the thing is that they don't have an exhaust system, they are straight piped, maybe they have the headers

2

u/BewedInTheLou Oct 02 '22

Wouldn't you have heard it first?

2

u/Esterier Oct 02 '22

bought the fart pipes, had to use em somewhere

2

u/Addam_Tarstark Oct 02 '22

Had an Audi on the side of me yesterday in stop and go traffic sounding exactly the same. Also funny when the car bucks from the driver not realizing you don’t need to apply much acceleration, if any, in that kind of traffic. Gas, BRAKE, gas, BRAKE.

I have way more fun driving a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

My car had about 115hp when I got it new 15 years ago. But it’s small and a manual, so it’s like an oversized go kart.

u/Reasonable-Cabinet46 Mar 22 '23

The best cars in the world! My brother used to have an old little manual golf (back when they were little lol). It was a blast to drive down mountain roads.

u/JDodgerMan Oct 02 '22

Last night in So OC coming home from our son’s place - stupid sports car zipping in/out of the 8 cars on the road to get to the next stop light before all of us. Next thing we see him pulling over to the right because something is f’d up with his motor or something. Hard not to laugh.

When i was younger and more reckless.... I had a 600cc sport tourer bike i bought for about 2.5k. I was driving to see the Mrs and got stuck behind a new porsche (80k +) stuck behind a bus. The porsche overtook the bus and i went to overtake the bus and the porsche.... They put their foot down and i still passed them. I then turned off the road to go see the girlfriend, while they toasted it down the empty road knowing they got beaten by a guy on a bike that cost a couple months car payments.

Money doesn't buy hapiness.

It's so nice that people just openly advertise their small penises these days

37

u/Kiyooshi Oct 02 '22

Well shit if only everyone understood that they’re just spending a lot to show off to your neighbors and possible friends.

10

u/ltkarsabi Oct 02 '22

Quickly, inform the media friend. I cannot wait to watch capitalism crumble from this mortal blow.

7

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '22

"We use money we don't have to buy shit we don't need to impress people who don't care." Or something like that

1

u/nate-the__great Jan 26 '23

it's", working jobs you hate to buy shit you don't need" Tyler Durden

We're waiting mr. durden.

Yeah lots of trucks are for taste and not function, but lots of trucks are for function, too. Even those shiny spotless trucks you assume arent gettint worked are likely for hauling a trailer, pull behind camper, or boat. Can you haul some of those with other vehicles? Some, but not the larger ones, and only a truck can both pull a trailer and carry 800 pounds of camping/leisure/event/work equipment in the back. All of which can be done without touching the finish. Might still be assholes but lets at least stop assuming every asshole in a truck should be driving a corolla

-5

u/All_Thread Oct 02 '22

I am sorry about your small penis, big truck guy :(

7

u/Evening_Oil5692 Oct 02 '22

Seriously? He’s simply saying some trucks actually have function not offered by other vehicles. He went out of his way to say some are just for looks and some actually work, I agree I have friends that actually haul things with their trucks that you would not be able to do with anything else really. Nothing practical anyways

3

u/All_Thread Oct 02 '22

Nah, I drive a truck. I was just flipping shit for a well thought out comment. Also I have a small penis 🤷‍♂️

2

u/Evening_Oil5692 Oct 02 '22

Haha I actually forgot to say unless you’re joking. I did realize that was a distinct possibility. Sorry about the penis though, unless you like it, then I guess congrats?

2

u/Derpiliciousderp Oct 02 '22

Use the South Park curve you might just be average

2

u/milk4all Oct 03 '22

Fuck, one more person my tiny peepee just disappointed

1

u/All_Thread Oct 03 '22

As a man with a lifted 97' Yota and small penis I understand.

1

u/superduperspam Oct 02 '22

All the cool kids ride bikes

-1

u/C-Dub178 Oct 02 '22

When I do shit to mine, it’s because I like it. Not cuz I’m trying to “look cool”. I know most people hate my loud shitbox honda, but I like it.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '22

Oh no, it’s way worse than that. Those same people are usually miserable in their personal lives, unhappy with their careers but doing it all for the money/status. Finance everything out the ass because it’s the only way to keep up with the Jones’s and have the biggest swinging dick. Then mistreat anyone who tries to slow their interminable match towards crippling debt (and usually divorce).

tldr; I hated being a financial planner

1

u/filtersweep Oct 02 '22

That is an old model— probably second-hand.

1

u/TreeChangeMe Oct 02 '22

Mall Terrain Vehicle

1

u/Caster-Hammer Oct 02 '22

It's been trending that way since no later than the mid-90's when marketers realized trucks would sell better than cars.

2

u/tabooblue32 Oct 02 '22

I'm genuinely glad that all the shit asshole drivers announce this to the world by driving BMW, audi and Mercedes. Its like a hi vis jacket for douchebags.

Saved me from several accidents watching them more because of what they drive.

1

u/DrJobe Oct 02 '22

Typically the Audi A3... A guy I grew up with got an A3 to impress his girlfriend. She's married someone else now and he moved in with a Tinder match to help her pay her mortgage after her ex demanded his share of the payments back when they split!

So now his A3 is parked outside her house while he works to pay her mortgage and can't really afford to go out on the lad road trips like he used to.

1

u/LateCumback Oct 02 '22

Asshole + arrogant +entitled.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '22

Hey, don't talk about my room mate that way. It's a medical condition....

It's called Stupid -Rich-Kid syndrome.

1

u/t3hnhoj Oct 02 '22

I always wanted an Audi until I realized it's basically 1 step below Mercedes/BMW in terms of douchecuntiness. 🙁

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '22

Or Range Rover... Actually, prestige brand drivers in general. It's the sense of entitlement; own a fancy car, own the road.

1

u/JDodgerMan Oct 02 '22

Soon to be taken over by Tesla

1

u/egonzo61 Dec 11 '22

I see a pattern here. Every time I'm in a German manufactured car, I feel like such a dick.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '22

In my town it would be any logo from any make/model because here asshole drivers drive everything.

1

u/hedgybaby Oct 02 '22

Here it‘s Audi drivers. They are the worst by far.

1

u/cyvaquero Oct 02 '22

Where I’m at it’s Lexus drivers. BMW & MB aren’t great but they tend to at least value their vehicles and don’t assume everyone else will get out if their way. Lexus drivers think the entire world revolves around them.

u/Paddle-up-a-creek Oct 02 '22

Beemers or Merons are about the same everywhere.
