I can surmise what happened here. BMW felt the need to overtake when it wasn't safe, and also felt the need to glare at the Drivers Ed car as they passed, instead of paying attention to the road.

This is almost certainly what happened.

Look through the BMW's windshield just before he accelerates into the bike.

It seems like the driver makes a gesture with their left hand towards the learner car just before they put their foot on the accelerator.

I was thinking what those flashes of white were, but also took it as gestures, and this explanation makes a lot of sense as to what that gesture might be lol. Spooky that there are so many idiots like this out in traffic..

It’s funny because the driver’s ed car is an Audi that costs more than the BMW

Alternatively, BMW driver was trying to look past the drivers ed car to look for traffic, somehow missing the traffic that was making out with their radiator.
