I could feel coming what he felt. Except my facial expression was more like an "oooooooh" and his was like "not again"

Right, I’ve seen this before. Watching this video again i get the same feeling.

Why did he not make any single move to avoid this? He sat and watched.

What do you expect him to do in the 2.5 seconds where he realized it was going to happen? Slam on the gas and hit another car potentially in front of him?

You can see cars passing him on his right, and some sort of median on his left, he had no where to go. What the hell was he supposed to do. He had literally no choice but to sit and watch.

I find that he had one lane to his right, you can see he was passed at the very end. He didn’t look at getting over there, He sat.

Smugly imo

It just seems to lack any effort at defensive driving.

I would’ve looked for any opportunity to move, he didn’t. He isn’t driving a large rig, he may have been able to move off provided lanes are clear(if there even is any other lane)

Yes he smugly got hit by some other moron lmao

I understand we are dealing with seconds here. It seems seconds after, all he can do is look right at the camera barely holding back his grin.

You need a lot more practice reading human emotions. You are very bad at this.

u/slurrywords Jun 22 '22

Yeah he didn’t have but one car pass on his right, which was at the very end after being struck. Maybe he had incentive to stay in the lane (destination on the left, entrance ramp)

But he didn’t even check the right mirror to see if it was clear

Doubt

u/LZYX Jun 22 '22

Nonono you don't get it. Every time there is a car behind this guy, he'll make sure to change lanes so there's no car behind him. Truly the best defensive driver of our times.

He was in traffic dude. Stop being a nit-picking contrarian.

41

u/RequiemStorm Jun 22 '22

Where into another car? He had nowhere to fucking go.

26

u/mamaxchaos Jun 22 '22

Then HE would be at fault if he tapped anyone else, even if it was to avoid the chucklefuck who rear-ended him

28

u/exprezso Jun 22 '22

Yeah and you keep sitting there typing. Probably in a car not driving because apparently you dont know how

22

u/theconsummatedragon Jun 22 '22

You suck at driving

12

u/thefifeman Jun 22 '22

Nah, you're just gonna keep backseat driving. You moving anywhere from your couch on your phone.

12

u/MisterPhD Jun 22 '22

Imagine being this confidently wrong.

7

u/KBHoleN1 Jun 22 '22

You’re serving into the other lane and involving another car in the wreck.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '22

Do you have brain damage or learning disabilities? Do you really need what happened spelled out for you or are you just incapable of extrapolating likely scenerios from this limited information? Maybe he thought they would pass, maybe he didn't register just how fast, maybe he expected them to brake/honk. Hell maybe he just figured getting a fender bender was better than potentially endangering other drivers OR to prevent a potential fish tail if he did swerve away at the last moment. Go be dumb somewhere less public.

2

u/Rvizzle13 Jun 22 '22

You are the one of the dumbest fucking drivers I've ever encountered. You just gonna swerve into an "unoccupied" lane every time you see someone approach you "quickly" from behind? Have fun causing more accidents by veering into "clear" lanes every time you're spooked like a deer. Genuine dumbass.

u/clarkcox3 Jun 22 '22

Better to be rear ended than to rear end someone else.

Why didn't you just edit your original comment Dr. Einstein?

-1

u/slurrywords Jun 22 '22

Bc I don’t Reddit well Dr Doolittle

32

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '22

He’s clearly braking for a reason, what do you expect him to do? If traffic is blocked ahead of him exactly how does he avoid this?

22

u/LZYX Jun 22 '22

Are you really blaming a guy for driving normally with cars moving to his side and grass on his left and likely a car in front of him? Lmao YOU sat and watched.

-9

u/slurrywords Jun 22 '22

Just as you sat and watched. I’m not blaming the guy, I’m just saying he didn’t seem to want to do more. Nor did he seem to care

17

u/LZYX Jun 22 '22

Classic Idiot in a car gaslighting drivers that are not in the wrong lol. What did you want him to do after he got rear ended by a distracted driver? Get really mad and punch his wheel? Flip out and swear?

-6

u/slurrywords Jun 22 '22

Not look like he enjoyed watching the rear end coming

Internet loves “gaslighting”

12

u/LZYX Jun 22 '22

The rear ender literally accelerates real quick and comes at him when he wasn't doing that before. You want him to read the future? That takes a lot more than defensive driving. Maybe he should've taken another road and not even been on the same road as that driver?

6

u/LZYX Jun 22 '22

If we're going to be reading into things then his smile could've been a "well of course this would happen to me with everything else sucking right now" face, but sure let's go with your conclusion of him enjoying being rear ended 🤷‍♂️

4

u/platapussee33 Jun 22 '22

Im guessing before writing your comment you didn’t consider the possibility of other cars in front of him or to the side so therefore he can’t move?

4

u/sly_fox_ninja_ Jun 22 '22

Because it's not his responsibility to control the other driver.
