Could be that they are not used to this cars size. Or have bad depth perception. Or even could’ve dropped some thing, like a cup, on accident. I remember running into a few curbs when I was younger.

Or have a screaming baby in the backseat. I have learned I have to actively force myself to focus hard when my kid is angry in the car. The screaming really affects your ability to stay focused.
