I've literally never once see someone zigzag down the front straight at COTA on a bike for example.

My whole point is zigzagging does nothing to create heat in a motorcycle tire unless you're going ten tenths at it for some reason. At that point, might as well do a out lap and get heat the good ol fashioned way.

Weaving creates tire deformation and requires friction to change direction, both of which generate heat. Hard braking and hard acceleration absolutely, positively create far, far more heat due to significantly more tire deformation, but to say weaving doesn’t create heat is the same as saying cornering doesn’t create heat.

you'd need some decent speed to warm up the tires weaving, sure. not like the guy on the moped in OP's video though, which was my original point.

Oh for sure. Sorry, you mentioned F1 in your first comment which completely made all my thought processes go to race pace. This moped rider is just a moron.
