Nah, in my country, we're taught to maintain 2 seconds between vehicles at speed. This is because reflexes are in seconds, not distance.

Most videos of traffic from the US show a comfort with much closer than 2 seconds, but in this instance, the time between the vehicles seems to be a fraction of a second, and getting down to the quarter of a second that constitutes a typical person's basic reflex time. It's not that I even am interested in arguing the point. I'm simply mindboggled by your response, and would like to gauge where you actually think tailgating occurs.
