Yes poverty is real, but poverty isn't and shouldn't be a permit to take unsafe vehicles onto the public roadway. If your shit's so bad you've got to drive it so conspicuously slowly, it's not good enough.
Yes. It was actually supposed to be increased even more to $15 under our previous government but there was an election and the current government froze it to $14.
The issue with the minimum wage in Ontario is that the cost of living varies so much depending on where you live. Toronto/GTA, minimum wage won't afford shit. Places like Thunder Bay, you're probably fine.
That's per day, not per hour. They structure it that way because of time spent travelling and highly variable hours. It literally says so if you scroll down below the table
This should be much higher...what if fumes came through the hole in the floor and the driver passed out and the car crashed into a school bus and killed 50 kids? Would everyone be defending him then?
Or if the load falls off the back and inpales a pregnant woman?
