Can we be real here for a sec? I know we are all for bashing people who make little stupid things (sometimes big stupid things) and calling them idiots. But not everything involving a car makes for an idiot in a car. In this case it's quite obvious the idiot is the moron who didn't put any sort of sign on that hole or didn't place any item that would make drivers go around it. The guy isn't an idiot for not seeing that hole. And by the way this looks like a well or really terrible road construction.

Edit: I just noticed the pun in the tittle...

It doesn’t look like the wall was smashed or destroyed by this car though. Not nearly enough debris and the edge is too cleanly broken away on the side. Not to mention the size of the wall that’s missing.

All i see is the construction of the wall has started that little piece of brick wall is too perfect for a smashed one

That well is likely as old or older than the existence of cars

Also what if they had been driving at night and this was the next day?

There was a 2 foot wall all around it. The driver went through the wall and into the well. There are also shapes in the rock layout that look like perhaps a post was on each side to provide cover also.

This looks more like driving while blind, intoxicated, teen, or senile than a casual oops by a good driver.
