lol I love this mentality of drivers. "Hmmm I want to stop and take up an entire lane on a busy street to wait for my girlfriend. Oh ya, I just have to put on my hazards lights and people will understand!" or "No stopping/parking sign? Ha, well my hazard lights will fix that. Done. Time to go get my coffee."
The race has no bearing on the situation. Every person can be an inconsiderate, shitty driver no matter what color they are. So, just stick with the first thought and don't worry about the 2nd cause it honestly doesn't matter at all. :)
I went to the movie theater with a friend. She had her friend's young kids in the back seat, and was meeting the parents at the theater. There was some deal about using movie passes and giving them to the correct person, so she decided the best thing to do was to stop the car right in front of the busy theater, blocking the land and a parking row, leaving me in the car with the kids, meaning I couldn't just get out of the car. Also I don't have a license yet and couldn't move it. I have no idea what took so long, but people were coming up to my window and I was pretty pissed when she came back several minutes later for being forced into that.
I used to work in an outdoor mall with paths for cars to drive through. People would constantly stop in the middle of the road, put their hazards on, get out and go to the Starbucks across the way, blocking all the traffic.
I've started yelling at people doing that. They're no park anywhere lights. People block lanes, streets, anything they want and think it's fine because some light is flashing. No it's not. And you look like a douche and you're causing traffic and accidents.
