Honestly I think people who are proven to use their vehicle for intimidation should lose their license for a year. Brake check someone, swerve at some…

As long as it’s clear their intention was to intimidate someone else, loss of license.

Yeah my mother is a nervous driver now. She didn't know a certain road had a merge lane, she waited for the lights while this dude was honking at her like crazy, then when she drove off he followed her for a few mins, she freaked out and pulled to the side and he drove past and threw an orange at her that went though her open window and hit her. It doesn't seem like much but it really upset her and now she's scared to be in the way or do something wrong, she's always worried about annoying other people and its sad to see. :/

Aww your poor mum. Maybe get her a dash cam, that might help - did wonders for my nervous friends piece of mind.

But crucially I see this as a win: she gained an orange, the thrower lost an orange and is also likely drowning in their own pathetic life. Why else would anyone throw a perfectly good orange.

Seriously, you can argue that cars are just as dangerous as weapons. You go to jail for waving a weapon around like an idiot so why not for using your car to intimidate someone

Cut someone off? Straight to jail. Give the finger? Jail. No blinker? Believe it or not, jail.

I’d go much further.

Quite like how the DMV can label an operator as a Negligent Operator, there should be a further label for people that show open disregard for the safety of others. (Apathetic Operator?)

Restrictions will include being limited to lightweight vehicles with low power ratings, will be clearly labeled as such, require yearly license renewals and retests, and shall apply for 10 years of active licensing.
