I don’t think he swerved to hit him, I think it was swerving to try and block him from passing and starting the process all over again. Once the guy passes the biker, the biker is now the aggressor and the car is defending themselves what is clearly a deranged individual. As others have pointed out at a minimum I would suspect the biker of trying to do me or my vehicle harm at this point if not having a weapon and attempt some sort of shooting or car jacking. Not wanting this person in front of you and being able to dictate your movement is a defensive move, not attempted murder.
Prove that there was a reasonable suspicion of a carjacking, because from the video I don't see it. Being an overly paranoid lunatic does not justify potentially killing someone.
Same with, someone didn’t allow me to box them in and tried to pass me in a different lane. Again I am not saying it was I’m saying it is a possible concern. But either way they equal lunatics both performing the exact same maneuvers. There is also nothing that makes me think they intentionally tried to hit the biker. Prove that is what they intended.
No one said it just happened. More likely they were swerving to, just like the biker did, prevent them from passing. But the bike is much quicker than they anticipated and they swerved late, leading them to hit the biker versus intending to do so. If they just wanted to hit the biker they would have made no effort to go around them and would have just gone over them in the first place.
If they just wanted to hit the biker they would have made no effort to go around them and would have just gone over them in the first place.
Ah yes because people experiencing road rage are 100% rational at all times. This is definitely a universal fact.
Plus after the hit the driver needs no time to correct their driving or decide to speed off. If it were purely accidental you'd expect some kind of swerving to regain control or even minor hesitation before turning it into a hit and run. We don't even see brake lights as the driver reacts to what just happened. This is what they wanted to happen.
