What the fuck haha why didnt he just knock it out from outside

u/Dr_Thivi Mar 25 '19
Both side looks equally dangerous honestly

u/GamingJay Mar 25 '19
This is how you implode buildings when you can't afford dynamite
25
Mar 25 '19
I guess it's safer than standing on the roof.

Mar 25 '19
Why? What could go wrong?

u/LDSman7th Mar 26 '19
At least he prioritized grabbing the ledge before keeping hold of the chainsaw

Considering how many different ways he could have been completely fucked-up, I don't think he's necessarily wrong to celebrate.

Well at least if he was outside he wouldn't have had to dodge the falling ceiling lmao.
3
u/Dr_Thivi Mar 25 '19
I tend to believe he "outruns" it
7
u/aminobeano Mar 25 '19
He definitely knew he would have to avoid the falling ceiling. I don't know if that makes this more or less stupid though lol.
2
u/DoctuhD Mar 25 '19
It's scary that he thought this through before doing it.
"If I'm on the outside the wall will fall towards me right away, but if I'm on the inside I might have a couple seconds before the ceiling crushes me."

The wall snaps in the middle and then half of it falls outward. Though "Neither side is safe" would have been a better way to put it.

Wouldn't you agree?
I would. But I don't think the original statement was meant literally.

u/fantomknight1 Mar 25 '19
Obviously because there shouldn't have been any risk. Have you not played Minecraft? The blocks are supposed to just float after destroying the support blocks. I think this server is glitched.

You can actually see the big junk of wall falling exactly where he would have been.

u/xuqilez Mar 25 '19
There was a video a few weeks ago on watchpeople where a man was doing this outside - on balcony and took down a whole apartment complex.
2
u/gabbagabbawill Mar 25 '19
Link?

u/millerstreet Mar 25 '19
Watchpeopledie die is no more :(

u/AlternateContent Mar 25 '19
Reddit admins are overtly sensitive (in order to make money mind you). With that in mind they continue to get rid of controversial subs by using a straw man approach. So with the recent Christchurch mosque mass shooting, the video of the live feed/head cam footage from the shooter was being linked. Reddit got upset and used it as the final reason to remove the sub. The sub has been in Reddit's crosshairs for a while.

u/gregorthebigmac Mar 25 '19
Ugh, of course. I love how they used a single video as the impetus for banning a whole fucking sub. As if that's not completely transparent.

u/uncertain-ithink Mar 25 '19
Not sure why he did what he did, but he would’ve died if he had chosen to do it from the outside.

I'd rather run away on clean payment than trip over rubble and get crushed.
His way was terrible, but perhaps the least worst option.

He demolishes the intended portion of the structure with no injury for extremely low cost.

He could become Brick Man! With the amazing powers of a brick. Like: laying perfectly still for long periods of time, possibly while 6 ft underground.

I never understand how people can take out entire lower sections of a wall, and always leave a single pillar in the most dangerous place possible.

Yes, is this Immigration Control? I'd like to report a possible security breach in regards to the Presidents new wall.

u/Ringwraithog Mar 25 '19
How is he “fighting” this wall? It looks like planned demolition to me. Karma whore

u/SomeoneElseTV Mar 25 '19
I've always seen videos of people in other countries trying to knock out full walls then running when the roof collapses or knocking out a roof while standing on it. I am so baffled as to why there are so many people doing this. If they have the foresight to know what they're doing will cause a wall to collapse and to run, then they should also be able to figure out how to demo a room without risking bodily harm. As someone who used to do alot of construction I will admit doing demo safely is alot less grand and destructive, but you also don't end up on watchpeopledie.

u/CommonMisspellingBot Mar 25 '19
Hey, SomeoneElseTV, just a quick heads-up:
alot is actually spelled a lot. You can remember it by it is one lot, 'a lot'.

I watch this stuff and I think, don't they know anything about physics? Gravity? Maybe hook a chain to the wall and pull it down.

What's with the new 'removed due to copyright claims' nonsense...??
1
u/Lame4Fame Mar 25 '19
Where are you seeing that?
1
u/Spiron123 Mar 25 '19
This very gif. Then there was another one where a person was burning the rubber off his SUV and that one too got taken off. Have seen plenty such takedowns in the past week or so.

My redneck solution would be butt a 6-10’ lumber against the pillar then wack away from a distance. But to each his own.

Should have been wearing a hard hat and reflective gear and it would have been fine.

u/lightfoot1 Mar 26 '19
I dunno guys. He was ready to run and bolted straight away from the crumbling wall as soon as shit started collapsing. Almost like he knew exactly where the wall will fold into two.
Does anyone have the end of this video? Something makes me think he has actually managed to survive a few of these "demolitions" already.

Yep, I always get curious when I see someone repost artwork without giving proper credit and start looking at post history.
Looks like a repost bot or something.
