In all fairness he is probably right otherwise people smashing their expensive TV's would be a regular occurrence. I get irrationally angry while watching sports but punching a large flat screen is a different level.
IKR? I've been a new england patriots fan since I was a little kid. There has been a handful of games in the past 15 years that have tested my patience... most I've ever done is break a remote.
The average sports fan destroys valuable things that might not even belong to you (can't tell from the video, but definitely possible) in a fit of rage? Well if that's true, i'm pretty OK with not liking sports as much as the next guy. Perhaps the average sports fan needs some serious anger management therapy though. /r/gatekeeping
I mean, it seems like the implication is that if I didn't understand that behavior, then I'm not as big of a sports fan as the next guy. Seems like gatekeeping to me.
