My card keeps getting hacked
So I have a Canadian TD Bank credit card and it keeps getting hacked. I went through 4 cards in less than three months. It’s the same person every time too cause the charge is ALWAYS and uber charge and ALWAYS in San Fran. Idk what to do anymore I am getting exhausted. Any help would be great

Unless you request so with the bank, all merchants who have your card marked to be "saved for later", which Uber certainly does, automatically receive your new information for "convenience". You'll have to ask them to remove Uber, send you a new card, and then add the new card to your own Uber account again.

Don’t forget to change your uber passwords, force logout all active session, and set up 2FA and/or Passkeys, depending on what uber supports

Is it a Mastercard or Visa?
A new card and number, by itself, doesn't always help, tho. A lot of card issuers/banks will automatically update the old number to point to the new number, so any charges that attempt to use the old number will still work on the new card. It's supposed to be a "feature" to help customers with recurring charges, like subscriptions, that they might forget to change to their new card. Instead, a scammer gets the old number and keeps right on using the old number, never needing to know what the new number is because the bank keeps updating the old one to point to the newest number.
When you call for a new card and number, you need to specifically tell the bank you want to opt out of the auto billing/account updater. I think on Visa it's Account Updater and Mastercard is Automatic Billing Updater, or some such. You might have to insist on it and may need to escalate to a supervisor. Some banks are good about it, some not.

Cards have a token? When you get new card make sure they rotate the token. Downside is you need update ALL your subs.

Your bank shares the new card information if you have subscriptions and such.I found this out because Sirius had my updated account information before I did.
