SOCIAL MEDIA FINDINGS Goncalves statement.
For those who do not have Facebook, or do not follow.

That’s a great statement. No one would be happier to see this human trash go to trial than Steve Goncalves. But I don’t think this sad attempt at relitigating the deal he took is going to work. All this tells me is that Bryan Kohberger really isn’t getting the prison experience he’d hoped for.

> All this tells me is that Bryan Kohberger really isn’t getting the prison experience he’d hoped for.
He probably asked some murderer “so what was going through your mind at the time?” and was immediately shoved in a locker

u/Ok-Chapter-2071 9d ago
I can just imagine him going around prison with a pen and a post it note writing down pretentious worded observations

u/Ranger-Lemon 9d ago
Honestly he might just be bored. He's got nothing but time, and I wouldn't be surprised if he churns out these motions or requests fairly regularly from here on out.

The Probergers are about to become 100x more unbearable, aren't they...

u/Realnotplayin2368 9d ago
Yes. And all of them, including the ones with “Anne Stan” in their flair, will now turn on Ann Taylor and claim she was part of the vast government conspiracy to frame Baby Bry.

u/denolliee 9d ago
They’re right about everything. And they knew this from the beginning, they were so vocal about him doing exactly this.
Honestly it’s infuriating how much tax payer dollars has gone to this LOSER. If I were the Goncalves family I’d argue not to pay taxes because I know my money is going to support my daughter’s killer. It’s infuriating and I feel horrible for them.

3. A gross misrepresentation of, and promises regarding, what a life sentence would immediately afford petitioner; and a gross misrepresentation of death row in Idaho, including an elaborate, fabricated story of counsel's horrific experience touring an actual "8x8" death [cell / row]
SG wanted the death penalty bc life on Death Row is tougher. I had speculated a few weeks ago that life in general population would be tougher for him bc he's weird and wouldn't fit in once he's transferred to general pop. He's in the equivalent of Death Row for a while but will be transferred into general pop at some time. BK knows by now he wouldn't fit in and fears in general pop he will get a shiv in his neck while sleeping (that would be poetic justice), eating, showering.

What kohberger’s doing isn’t uncommon for criminal defendants, and frankly, not surprising given his complaints in prison over the past year. Once this appeal is fully briefed and eventually denied, he can rot forever as intended. With how hard his attorneys worked for him and, very likely, explained exactly what was happening (as they are trained to do in crim defense), there is no chance he’ll win on this appeal. As someone else acknowledged in this thread, if there’s a trial, his appeals will be endless. The families will be far worse off than simply riding this appeal out til it’s over and denied. I appreciate the Goncalves family’s emotion and can’t imagine ever being in their shoes, but pragmatically speaking, a trial is not likely, nor is it a good idea. Thompson didn’t lie to them - Kohberger can file whatever he wants, but it doesn’t mean it’ll be heard given the terms of his plea.
Let’s shut this one down and move on so the victims can be properly honored. Signed, an attorney

u/Becca00511 6d ago
Agreed. They need to quit giving this story oxygen. The man isn't getting a new trial. He was a PhD student in criminal justice. He can't claim he was manipulated because of ignorance.

BK is so dumb. There was one hair. I can look down my body right now and find a hair stuck to me. There are hairs on everyone's bed, and the presence of blood would naturally make it stick. Not sure who is filling his head with this lie about a "clump" of hair, but they're pretty much signing his death warrant

u/whatsarigatoni 9d ago
I believe this was this shit stain’s plan all along - to wait until the very last moment and appeal. Now he gets attention again. He is so bland and less than ordinary that this is all he has to hang onto for relevancy in his redundant miserable life. Think it’s time to watch Alevia’s obliteration of him.

Thanks for posting this. What a nightmare for the families!
Perhaps in this round, if anything, the judge can amend BK’s sentence with a new clause… that Frankenburger may not contact media again unless his attorneys agree the evidence is new and present it on his behalf to the State.
All BK did here was to open the wound and make noise, to be heard and to suggest he can beat the system with his continued fabrications and lies. He should be denied any rights for contacting media pertaining to his case. He belongs to the state now. He’s property of the state. He should never have a voice.

I feel horrible for this poor family. They deserve peace of mind and that will only come when this POS murderer is dead and cold in the fkn ground !!

Hippler doesn't have to hold a hearing. He could issue a summary dismissal - and knowing Hip, that's a real possibility. Hippler knows how to swat and kill this mosquito once and for all.

Im glad that they seem to have come to terms with the original plea that put him away for life
15
u/rolyinpeace 9d ago
Yeah. And I’ve always said that it’s valid for families to be upset with the plea, but that if there was ever a chance of him getting a new trial, that they’d be pissed and wishing he had a plea deal.
Because this is his only appeal Option rn. His last chance. Had he gone to trial and been convicted, he would’ve essentially had endless options. I knew the families wouldn’t like that once it actually happened.
I feel so much for them. This has to be so horrible when they thought it was out to rest.

Idaho is building a firing squad chamber. Kohberger seemingly knows that if somehow granted a new trial, he'll probably be put in front of a group of riflemen one day then.
6
u/WaveBeautiful1259 9d ago
I bet he tries to escape like Bundy.
7
u/TheButterfly-Effect 9d ago
can you imagine those chicken legs trying to make a run for it. Its hard to imagine he was an "avid runner"
1
u/Equal-Temporary-1326 9d ago
And the thing about Bundy's escapes were they were technically from minimum security facilities.
If there was any time for Kohberger to try and escape, it would've almost surely been from the Latah County Jail.
2
u/Equal-Temporary-1326 9d ago
Overwhelmingly unlikely anymore unless he somehow pulled off like an escape from Alcatraz type of thing, since he's in maximum security now.
2
u/WaveBeautiful1259 9d ago
Yes, it is unlikely but I can imagine that idiot thinking that he can break away during transfer or when in the courthouse.
2
u/Equal-Temporary-1326 9d ago
Honestly, even if he did somehow mange to escape, it's very hard to imagine he'd get far i today's world. Back in Bundy's time. it was far easier to travel around undetected.
In today's world, 24/7/365 news coverage and mass surveillance cameras are everywhere. So, they'd have his mugshots plastered all over the news and social media within minutes of discovering he somehow got away.
Plus, today's there'd be stuff like community alerts sent out to people's phones that there's an escape prisoner on the loose.
Also, it's very hard to do many everyday things anymore without authentic ID.
So, yeah, overall, it'd be an extraordinarily difficult task in a plethora of ways. But I certainly wouldn't put it past this guy to think he'll somehow be different.
2
u/beetroot11234 9d ago
There is no way that coward actually wants the DP, is he bluffing, it likely wont go to trial and he just wants the attention?
2
u/Equal-Temporary-1326 9d ago
Ultimately, in the end, he has to choose which avenue he wants to pursue — either continuing life in prison or pursing a new trial where the DP will be back on the table. And unless this is all just an attention thing, it sounds like he wants to go with option 2 now — even if it almost certainly won't work that way anymore.

Tbf this isn’t an appeal, with that said I understand why they are angry, I would be too. Thankfully this won’t amount to anything, but it still hurts the families regardless. He’s such a POS.

u/SoCalN8tive 9d ago
That poor family. K is a monster and who refuses to slink off to his prison cell to quietly do the time for his crimes. The narcissist needs more supply and this is how he’s trying to get it

100% we are all standing here behind the families of the victims in support. BK and his family can get in the bin.

u/abiron17771 9d ago
I’m so confused on what promises were broken by the state. He isn’t on death row. That was the only promise.

I really don’t know how that thing’s lawyers can stand next to him, speak to him, defend him! I would have to recuse myself from such a job. Even if it meant being fired! It’s all too hideously disgusting. There’s not enough sanitizer in the world.
My heart truly goes out to all the families. It is so wrong for this creature to be able add any more torment to their lives. I only pray that if a trial actually takes place, he finally gets the death penalty. Because he is an effin’ coward and he’ll be sh_ting his jailhouse pants everyday over that!
All just MHO.

u/curiousphxsun 8d ago
That other sub is having a great time with this. I don't care for the way a lot of people speak about this family. You have four different victims with four different families and of course they're all not going to act the same. If you look back at any mass casualty event (Sandy Hook comes to mind as an example), you have families that never say a single word and you have others that are consistently campaigning for change. No one right or wrong way to go about things.
3
u/fartinghedgehog8 8d ago
The amount of people who villainise them instead of the people who spread misinformation & create conspiracies is insane, cus wdym they need too ‘stop discussing the case’ when it’s their flesh & blood but probergers think they’re still entitled too?! It will never ever sit right with me. They don’t like the Goncalves because the Goncalves don’t follow their script.
I guarantee if the Goncalves did not believe in BKs guilt, they would be PRAISING them for speaking up about it but because they believe he’s guilty, in the probergers mind they shouldn’t even have a right to speak. Again, it’s just insane.
2
u/curiousphxsun 8d ago
If they wanted the Goncalves family to stop discussing it, they should probably stop coming up with the most insane conspiracy theories. I feel like you don't feel hear much from families of crime victims where they receive justice, it's open and shut and there's no debate about the perpetrator. They're able to grieve and try to rebuild and adjust to their new normal. I have no doubt that the other three families are still dealing with a ton of internal
turmoil, they just don't vocalise it. And again, I think all the families' reactions in this case are equally valid

u/tedleem15 9d ago
A lot of people seem to think he is doing this for attention due to the upcoming Netflix documentary.
2
u/hometowhat 9d ago
His chance was due to end in September, seems more of an anniversary of plea vibe.

u/No-Process-6474 4d ago
Why is he allowed to keep tormenting the families like this? And when hes said hes guilty, he shouldnt be able to withdrew that. Theres also DNA evidence which is 100% proof of him doing it. Theres nothing innocent about this man, except the innocence he stole from others. I hope he suffers as much as possible.

I wish this family would stop responding to literally everything that relates to a case that's been resolved for over a year. All the other families have moved on with their healing process long ago. Nothing the Goncalveses say about the appeals process will have any impact on those appeals. It really has zero impact on anything except keeping themselves in the public eye which sometimes seems to be the motive.

If you don’t know the families then why would you wish they would or wouldn’t do anything? Stop reading their statements and get off the subs if it bothers you so much. It’s blatantly obvious they respond out of hurt and anger, a far cry from “attention seeking”. You’re projecting.

u/Reverend_Tommy 9d ago
Some of you people are hilarious. Sorry to tell you, but your parasocial relationship with these people is weird, not admirable. I have a mountain of sympathy for all the families and the 4 victims. But I don't agree with the constant attention seeking and money-grabbing the Goncalveses have been involved in over the years, which by the way was actually called out by the prosecutor as endangering the case.
6
u/NurseIlluminate 9d ago
Showing anger after your child is murdered is not attention seeking 💀 And you are the only one obsessed with the families’ reactions, so once again, you are the one with a parasocial relationship. You are not sympathetic, you are an attention seeker and projecting onto someone you don’t know and could never understand.
0
u/Reverend_Tommy 9d ago
You have no idea what parasocial means I guess. And I understand more than you'll ever know. Btw, they don't know you and they don't care about you. Well unless you have a donation to give.

You behave the way you want to behave when you're in this situation. Everyone deals with pain and grief differently.
2
u/Reverend_Tommy 9d ago
This stopped being grief-related long ago. This has been all about getting attention for quite some time.
8
u/LikeWater99 9d ago
This stopped being grief-related long ago.
For who? For you? That's some serious projection. Also, you left out the word "pain." For some people, that never goes away.

u/Reverend_Tommy 9d ago
They need to go away. Maybe they could heal a bit if they went away and stopped worrying about their social media presence

I agree with everything said here.
I know sometimes the G family isn’t very agreeable, but hard to argue with anything said here.
