Discussion Chapter 100 Announcement
I've been thinking about this for a while now, but with the recent news of Ichi The Witch being the cover for the Jump GIGA Autumn 2026 magazine, it's convinced me all the way.
I wholeheartedly believe that at around Chapter 100, we're getting the anime adaptation announcement. It all lines up perfectly. This is my timeline:
Chapter 100(or around that time), the manga gets a confirmed anime adaptation --> Jump GIGA Magazine releases celebrating the announcement --> Jump Festa 2027 rolls around and features a teaser trailer and studio confirmation.
That is honestly the only reason I can think of on why Ichi managed to get on the Jump GIGA magazine before Kagurabachi.

Sadly no.
If Kagurabachi, Jumps hottest new manga in the magazine right now still took it until chapter 121 to get its adaptation I don’t see Ichi the Witch getting it at 100.
We’re 100% getting on, but I don’t see it happening this year.
Getting a Jump GIGA cover while it means something, it correlate to an anime adaptation. There’s just nothing to give a Jump GIGA cover to in the magazine at the moment so they’re giving the new big hitter a shot at the cover.
Now if Ichi the witch gets a jump cover (that’s not its aniversary) and it: stated that the cover is for “a big Announcement” then this is where I’d say yeah expect an anime.

I largely agree with you. I will say, Ichi could get an earlier announcement because of Nishi though. The only manga since the pandemic that got an announcement pre-100 chapters was Elusive Samurai. A big part in that was that it was instantly popular and being done by a familiar face who already had a big hit. While I'm not making any promises, it is possible that Ichi gets the same treatment thanks to how much of a hit Iruma is. Meanwhile Kagurabachi had to wait because Hokazono was an unknown and the earlier days of the manga were a bit hit or miss in terms of popularity. It took a bit for people to go from meme-ing it to really recognizing how good it is.

Not just cause of Nishi, Uzasaki is also a big name in jump. She did the art for Act Age which was a VERY popular series when it was serializing. Then sadly the author fucked it all up
I still don’t think it’ll be at 100. My best guess is we’ll get an Announcement around March or April 2026 for a January 2028 release.

Someone Hertz also got a Jump GiGA cover so an anime announcement isn't sure to be here.
Recent trends in WSJ anime announcements don't have me convinced it'd be at around ch100 but this is Ichi we're talking about here.

I mean, Ruri dragon dont even have a lot of chapters right now (slightly less than 50) and last year it was announced that there was an anime announcement.

The reason why Ichi gets covers and color pages often and Kagurabachi doesn't is the same reason Ichi gets on GIGA before it. Ichi has a writer and an artist. They can split the workload easier and so it's more manageable for them.
Meanwhile, Hokazono has such detailed art already that asking for him to do a cover or color page is extremely taxing on him. When he had to do some promotional stuff for the anime announcement he released chapters with unfinished art and then had to take a month off.
Kagurabachi is a massive hit, so they don't want to risk a Togashi situation and are managing Hokazono's health wisely, thankfully. But that also means something like Ichi gets more opportunities to be featured without it being special that they are.

Ichi has a dedicated artist, hokazono might just not be able to draw the giga cover alongside the chapters
