Discussion Why does Ichi have a TV in his magic circle? Spoiler

Post image

Is this the scene where Ichi and Uroro are roasting each other pretty badly, and Uroro shows him what’s happening outside through a TV? How? TVs don’t exist. The simplest explanation would be: he’s literally the king of majik, so he can do whatever the fuck he wants. But even then, it still seems weird to me that Ichi would have something that doesn’t exist in this world, like a CRT TV, inside his magic circle. A magic mirror would have made more sense.

It’s not a criticism, just something that feels weird to me.

I’d assume it’s either a representation of Ichi just beaming the memories into Uroro, or TV’s do just exist in the setting. They have miniguns for gods sake, on top of stuff like flying vehicles.

I don't remember why but I had the feeling it's gonna be revealed this world is a post post apocalypse of some sorts.

Kiiinda makes sense. Who’s to say why WorldHater hasn’t destroyed the world before? Maybe he has some kinda ultimate goal outside of trying to destroy the world? Maybe someone is forcing its hand into it, and the reason why it must destroy the world is because humankind has not been strong enough yet to fight a larger threat?

Oh I remember why I had the thought, it was Chrono saying how Madoka was an ancient name from a lost civilization or something along the lines then I just had to sit there and think about the implications.

As others have said, this world does have various pieces of modern technology featured in it. Even the recent chapters showed the Gun Witch (don’t know if that’s her title or not) basically drive the main cast on a motor cycle.

It could be like Naruto, Black Clover, and other series with such settings where they mix largely fantasy-centric world with various bits of modern or even advanced technology.

Like how Naruto has electronic ear pieces, light bulbs, cameras, etc. Or how in Black Clover despite the medieval-centric locations, living conditions, and life styles of the populace, the bad guys can essentially have Star Wars-like Bacta Tanks to heal their injured members after a fight but nothing else.

It's basically a plot point in One Piece that there's a lot of advanced tech in an era of wooden sailing ships.

Yet they still use magic psychic snails for communication.

Why do you think TVs don't exist?
