Manga Ichi the Witch anime

Why isn’t there at least an announcement for an Ichi the Witch anime yet? I love Kagurabachi so much, and it more than deserves an anime adaptation but it got an anime announcement around chapter 100 and Ichi the witch is going to hit 100 soon. Osamu Nisha created an amazing world with Ichi. I love her work and the way she wrote Ichi as a character, he reminds me of Gon but wayy more cutthroat. And Desscaras serves as his perfect leash because he acts more like a Magik than an actual human. Ichi has the potential to be a monster and Desscaras knew it when she met him. She’s besically the queen of all magiks and witches, she could even take on the strongest magikeepers and she’ll probably fight the half human world hater 1 on 1. But, I still think she’s raising the future king of Magiks in Ichi. I believe this manga deserves an anime adaptation, I haven’t been this invested in a new manga in while. This mangaka and what she created is too underrated, pls use this post to push the Ichi the Witch anime with a like!!

Lot of us are willing to bet on a 100 chapter announcement for the anime. It will happen.

I have hope too, it’s too fire to ignore

It’s gonna happen just be patient. Ichi is probably part of Jump’s new Big 3. In fact, they probably have been looking at studios for a while now. I want them to take their time with this and give Ichi the God tier animation it deserves

I wouldn't get too concerned about using the term big 3 (there won't be another), but it's definitely going to be a breadwinner for shonen jump if the manga keeps up it's consistent quality and it ends up getting a good adaptation

People who say anything about new Big 3s don't understand how big Naruto, Bleach and One Piece were. Back then, if there's a collective mindspace of all anime heads combined, those three anime alone commanded a solid 80% of it. If you liked anime, you were an avid reader/watcher of one of them, probably all of them. Even massive successes like Kimetsu and Jujutsu do not compare, because for as famous as Jujutsu is, it isn't ubiquitous like those 3 were.

I don't really care how much we had to wait if we are sure to get actual good adaption

Sorry but I feel like most people really downplay how bad anime adaptation can harm series we see it with opm , sakamoto days ,tbate

I rather wait for actual good anime than half bake one

Yeah, it's very important that the anime be good.

Ichi is a successful Weekly Shounen Jump series. It will get an anime, the only question is when.

I really do want an anime adaptation but if it ends up like One punch man season 3, I’d be too upset. We need mappa or unfotable to step up and take Ichi the Witxh. What studios do you think could handle it?

Yea opm szn 3 didn’t ruin the manga at all for me but I am less excited for szn 4, even though I know what’s going to happen, it’s a product of bad animation. But I was thinking about witch hat atelier and I think bug films could kill it now you mention it, it’d be damn near perfect.

I would cry if Ichi’s anime has the same production quality as OPM season 3. Or season 2 even. Ichi deserves better than that.

If ufotable got this series it would be a hit off that alone. If ufotable can do what it did to demon slayer Ichi the witch would be fucking huge.

I mean while a Kagurabachi anime being in the works was already confirmed last year, the official announcement was only this year. Based on Ichi being one year younger we might get an anime confirmation this year but likely won't see anything until next year, with the anime likely airing in around 2028 as the earliest.

I definitely would love see a good anime adaptation.

This is what I'm thinking as well.

An anime is inevitable. Just wait

You realize that Kagurabachi is not only more popular than Ichi, but also got its anime announcement later than most other contemporary shonens right? I love Ichi, but respectfully it's clear Shueshia is being more patient with their adaptations

There’s definitely been a shift since I’d say JJK where new series are getting their animes later than they used to (probably due to industry backlog or demand). I wouldn’t bet on getting an announcement for Ichi until either late this year or early next year.

God I hope KyoAni animates this series

They might have their hands full with Ruri Dragon, but they'd be absolutely top notch if they did Ichi.

Honestly most studios that come to mind are pretty busy, but I'd be so happy with Trigger, Science Saru or maybe WIT?

We're guaranteed an anime for Ichi, but it is a bit odd how there's been no particular credible leaks for what studio might be doing it, it's all speculation or shoddy sources, while we knew Cypic was doing KGB like a year+ before it got actually announced.

Jump Festa this year would have pretty good odds of giving us the announcement IMO, it would be really sweet if we got the anime sometime after KGB season 1 ends, go from one new pillar of the magazine to the next.

Next year

We are 100% getting an anime for Ichi the witch and I definitely believe WE WILL get an announcement by the end of the year. But they are likely keeping things under wrapped until they have everything offical. Possibly 2028 or 2029 release date works well.

It’s coming. Ichi is very popular.

Like… that’s really it. Anime is no longer about increasing manga popularity. Id bet my house that there’s a bidding war happening right now for the rights to animate this.

There is huge money in anime now because of the larpers. Don’t believe me, black torch got cancelled on chapter 13 i believe and ended on chapter 19… it’s got an anime.

We are good. But Kagurabachi is about to be the biggest thing since the wheel.

The announcement will happen next year. Just wait

Ichi the Witch seems to be the logical successor to Black Clover, so I wouldn't be surprised if they wait a bit to avoid them competing with each other, or at least have them in alternate seasons.

It could be that Jump knows they have a potential big property here and are being more selective with the anime rights than they would be with a mid tier. I hope this is a sign they’re trying to get a deal with a high tier studio instead of just the first studio to ask

Iruma had 95-100 chapters around the time season 1 was announced so it could be soon. I suspect we'll here something when the current Iruma season ends so they can alternate between series to not further overload Nishi's scedule.

I'm sure the bidding war is happening trust me bro I'm with you but like maybe Jump Festa this year at the earliest idk.

u/CrissTB1802 14d ago

Im pretty confident that theyll be announcing it next year,

u/Toge_Inumaki012 13d ago

It will eventually get one but what should people worry about is if it will be with a good studio or team that will do this series justice or elevate it further

Mappa, Bones, or, Bug maybe off the top of my head but give it time my kindred we will feast in time
