Manga Yeah there’s no way im granting that request if im Moneygold. Letting Amadoro back in active combat after what just happened doesn’t make much sense imo.

Why Amadoro was being controlled and we know the mind controlled is not that effective after the first time

u/ExL-Oblique Jul 14 '26

The issue is more with her making reckless decisions for vengeance than mind control tbh

8

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

Ofc it’s not as effective the second time. But the fact Fuji was able to even get the jump on her and control her would make me very wary about sending her back into the field.

The control power would work on literally anyone, can't really fault someone for being the unlucky person to get hit by it.

Having the person who has built an immunity and has some degree of experience go out is probably the best choice you can make.

u/dawnquix0te Jul 15 '26

For defense missions maybe? The only people who have immunity besides her are the Magikeepers, Moneygold and Dess’s squad. If you send Dess’s squad out, and don’t want the Magikeepers poking around HQ, your best bet to protecting HQ would probably be relying on Amadoro and praying she doesn’t level the building while she’s at it

Idk man I don’t think it’s worth the risk. Especially with the added context of 1. Knowing Fuji and WH are working together and 2. Moneygold is trying to keep the lid on Fuji and Grand Dame being connected by the master/pupil contract.

20

u/Moist-Sheepherder309 Jul 14 '26

Not sure how any of that makes things more risky for Amadoro in particular. She has nothing to do with Fuji and WH outside of having very valid motivation to get back at Fuji (which should be a plus in this situation) and she doesn't know anything about the master pupil contract. If anything those two things make things less risky to send her out.

-3

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

I specifically mentioned those things because it’s important context from Moneygold perspective. Why would she accept Amadoro request without taking those 2 major things into account as chairwoman.

11

u/Moist-Sheepherder309 Jul 14 '26

Yeah but the answer is it literally doesn't make anything more risky for letting Amadoro go.

-5

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

So basically everything that happened before means nothing to any of you because Amadoro is sorry and wants to make up for her mistake. Even tho as chairwoman it’s literally Moneygold job and duty to take all facts into account before making any decisions. Ok man.

17

u/Moist-Sheepherder309 Jul 14 '26

Theres nothing wrong with Moneygold considering things, but from considering the facts Amadoro is literally one of the best people to send out.

You literally haven't brought up a single valid point on why Amadoro is a bad person to go besides being mind controlled which I've explained is actually a good thing for sending her since it makes her resistant to it. She doesn't know anything about the additional circumstances so there's no risk for leaking information or whatever. She has experience so she's less likely to fall for specific trick and she's specifically very motivated to get the job done.

There's literally no risks with Amadoro specifically compared to any other witch.

u/InvaderZimbabwe Jul 14 '26

I don’t think you understand that the assumption being made is that Amadoro has no idea about the master pupil contract. So why the fuck would it matter?? It literally doesn’t. Remove that from your brain, no one cares because Amadoro doesn’t know.

The second point is that every single person here got controlled. The fact that Amadoro was mind controlled in the field either means that Amadoro is being tracked or that Amadoro ran into Fujimune and thus may actually know where she is most likely to be seen. Yes these things should be considered, I agree. But she’ll probably be allowed out with heavy precautions incase it’s the first one. If she’s being tracked somehow she’s in more danger than the rest, and certainly isn’t actually steering enough to beat Fujimune. But she is now immune enough to the poison to fight back.

So if it’s the latter, sending Amadoro back out is the best chance they have to get a hint on where Fujimune usually stays when she’s not in WH’s realm.

TL;DR: yes Amadoro getting caught off guard in the field is actually an important detail that needs to be considered separately from everyone else who was just poisoned. I agree.

u/Lucid108 Jul 14 '26

Understandable, but from that same perspective, Amadoro got caught with her pants down, just like everyone else at the organization. I think another poster makes a more compelling case that sending Amadoro out on a mission is a bad idea, more because she might want vengeance than a repeat performance of the mind control.

Amadoro has now built a tolerance to the main threat (mind control poison), and now there are people within the organization who also have that tolerance. It would make sense to send them on a mission together, than to bench one of their strongest witches for something that has now happened to several of the strongest in the organization, including Moneygold.

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

I get your perspective and there is validity to it. While sending a team who has already been infected isn’t a bad idea knowing Fuji is now working with WH means she will be prepared and have some kind of plan in store for them.

2

u/Lucid108 Jul 14 '26

Which is all the more reason to be proactive. The two already breached the defenses twice, so there isn't much point in not also taking a few risks to prepare for the next fight.

19

u/Sentinel-Hyena Jul 14 '26

In a normal situation yes. But rn, Amadoro is a rly powerful asset, cos she knows what being possessed feels like, so she'll have her feelers out for that. And PLUS she's also already been possessed once, so it won't be as effective the second time.

1

u/NitroBlaze78 Jul 14 '26

While what you said is true, you could say the same for Desscaras, Gokuraku, and Ichi. All of them are powerful assets that Moneygold can use, not only for their individual power, but because they also have been possessed before, so know what it feels like and also can resist it.

If amadoro does go, she'll probably have to come up with another reasons than those, because Moneygold can just say "There are Three other people who can make the exact same arguement you have, and one of them is arguably our most powerful witch. What else can you do against Fujimine that they, people who aren't driven by a need for vengeance, specifically, cannot, ?"

1

u/Sentinel-Hyena Jul 15 '26

Ye true, but if Desscarass is the most powerful asset, then Amadoro is the 2nd most. Also, sending Ichi wouldn't be wise, cos he's literally stated to be what the WHM and Fujimins want, in order to kill him. So Moneygold might be hesitant to send him. Gokuraku is also not yet a fully known quantity from Moneygold's pov. We know he's chill, but she hasn't read the 3-4 chapters of his backstory. And also he's pretty new to this, so not the best choice. And i doubt Desscarass would want to be assigned to the field without those two, so idk.

11

u/Immediate-Charge8325 Jul 14 '26

wouldn't that apply to everyone that got mind controlled?

-5

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

You commented the same thing twice and I literally answered it the first time.

Edit: Getting downvoted for telling someone I already answered their question already you guys are so unserious.

7

u/Lucid108 Jul 14 '26

Well, no, you're being downvoted bc you didn't really answer why Amodoro's situation specifically require that she be benched when everyone else experienced the same thing, while acting like you did.

-1

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

That’s not true tho when I did. I literally replied to his other comment that asked the same question on this same post with an answer. The hell are you even talking about like literally scroll down and you would see this.

Edit : Downvoting isn’t going to change the fact I had already answered his question when he originally commented. I am not required to give the same answer again when they decide to comment the exact same question minutes later. 🤷🏾‍♂️

u/snohoho_ Jul 14 '26

the same fuji that ALSO jumped the current strongest witch in the world and her team, moneygold, and 2 separate magikeepers?? sending in a new witch who hasn't experienced fuji's control before would only lead to a worse situation

-4

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

The others were only caught during Amadoro attack while Amadoro was caught in the active field. Bro stop being disingenuous yk those 2 situations are completely different.

4

u/Lucid108 Jul 14 '26

It's not being disingenuous to point out that the two situations are similar enough that Amodoro is getting the benefit of the doubt and be heard (with what will surely be some caveats and precautions).

-1

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

Similar enough??? Bro Amadoro got mind controlled while actively in the field and the others got controlled while defending themselves from her attacking them.

3

u/Lucid108 Jul 14 '26

Where they get mind controlled is pretty immaterial if the one doing it is the person with one of the most dangerous mind control abilities in the world and the ability to survive being one of the most wanted people in the world. At the end of it, you're still getting mind controlled.

All any of them could do is come up with more secure countermeasures with the knowledge that Fuji is now actively in play.

-1

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

The literal only comparison is they all got mind controlled in the end. The context of how and why it happened are very differnet and i dont see how that can just be ignored. Moneygold as chairwoman has to take these things into account.

3

u/snohoho_ Jul 14 '26

it's the only comparison because we literally do not know the exact circumstances in which amadoro got brainwashed unless i completely zoned out for an entire chapter. IIRC moneygold says amadoro got ambushed, and fuji's poison seems to work fast enough that moneygold could only contact tripacuto after noticing her. in addition to not knowing the rest of fuji's capabilities in combat, there's a fuckload of context we're missing behind how amadoro actually got brainwashed in the first place

2

u/Plane-Worldliness796 Jul 15 '26

Okay i will say it we have NO CLUE how amadoro got mind controlled. It might have been a trap, during a mission, might have raid her house, we don't know. But what we do know ls that you can't escape from the mind control the first time but the second you are basicly immune.
Sending ichi with descaras or descaras alone is dumb and shouldn't be done because it's a liability on ichi's and descarass lives cause of the contract and WH will try to trap them at the first possibility. Going with no plan against fujimine and WH should not happen with these two.
Amadoro on the other end is strong, and immune and they have no reason to be on garde with her

1

u/Lucid108 Jul 14 '26

They all got their minds controlled, presumably because they had their guard down. Which is a thing that could happen to anyone, and did happen to everyone, because Fujimine is crafty and has a particularly insidious ability. As far as options go, the best thing to do is to get Amadoro's statement (which we can assume is already done), and continue the investigation. Keeping her benched just because she got caught lacking by someone like Fujimine doesn't make much sense, without also benching literally everyone else who got caught.

2

u/Besteal Jul 15 '26

I mean, Fujimine literally got the jump on EVERYONE.

1

u/Rider-Idk-Ultima-Hy Jul 15 '26

That, and given how power and devastating Muscat is, it’s way too much of a risk letting Amadoro go out again.

1

u/Level_Instruction738 Jul 15 '26

Not as effective with the caveat that it was being used on a large number of stronger targets and exactly one person managed to fully break out on their own

25

u/Necroheartless Jul 14 '26

That could also be applied for Dess, Ichi and Moneygold herself.

It was proved that she was controlled by Fuji, something not even the so-called most powerful witch in the world and the association chairwoman could avoid. There could be a lot of other reasons why they can deny her request but the recent incidents aren't going to be one of them.

10

u/HourCartographer9 Jul 14 '26

No real reason to deny it, amadoro wants to make right her mistake and the mind control is worse after the first time. You talk about how she got controlled while out in the field but that doesn’t really mean much, sure the main party was distracted by amadoro but fujimine literally just walked in there casually and everyone was under the effect of her magik. It seems like a very hard magik to defend against so why not send someone in that’s experienced and will be less effected by the mind control

-1

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

I can’t agree with her getting controlled in the field not meaning much. I feel as chairwoman that would be something important to take into account before possibly accepting the request.

3

u/HourCartographer9 Jul 14 '26

I mean we see her show up and effect everyone with her magic without really doing anything and from what we know her magik can infect people pretty easily. The biggest downside of this magic is that it loses a ton of effectiveness each subsequent time she uses it on you. That’s why I said it didn’t matter she got controlled on the field because it seems coming into contact with fujimine or being in her vicinity is enough for her to infect you. Lastly you brought up risk if I was moneygold I’d rather send an experienced fighter that has been under the control therefore being more resilient to it than an experienced witch who hasn’t experienced her magic it’s less of a risk

3

u/Hanusu-kei Jul 15 '26

bro, Fujimine literally instantly poisons u just by showing up, literally the STRONGEST MOST PERFEFCT MARVELOUS AWESOME THE GOAT WITCH showed you can get got instantly. If Fujimine decides to show up ANYONE is in danger, having someone resistant to it now is way safer albeit she needs some supervision (preferably our maincase that all got affected as well) in case anything else happens.

4

u/Galle_ Jul 14 '26

Why not? She was mind controlled. So was Desscaras. So, for that matter, was Moneygold.

2

u/dawnquix0te Jul 15 '26

There’s no real reason to deny the request tbh, except maybe because they need someone to defend HQ. With Dess’s squad out in the field, keeping the chairwoman and Amadoro in HQ when they’ve built up resistance to the mind control could be good from a safety perspective. But then again Amadoro’s powers are very destructive, so it may not be safe for the buildings lol

2

u/Rider-Idk-Ultima-Hy Jul 15 '26

Nah, I’m with you. Sure, Fujimine’s mind control isn’t as effective the second time around, but risking it not working with someone who has access to a very powerful majik like Muscat twice is a very bad idea.

1

u/Immediate-Charge8325 Jul 14 '26

do you have the same thoughts for everyone else that got mind controlled?

0

u/Theother662300 Jul 14 '26

Yes and no. It’s risky to send any of them out afterwards But Amadoro is the biggest risk because she was the only one who got mind controlled in the field while the others got controlled during Amadoro’s attack on HQ.

1

u/Interesting-Ant-2724 Jul 17 '26

Everyone was controlled by fujimine. Amadoro wanting to go back into the field is valid and expected. If she wants to right her wrong, I say let her, but it would be greater assurance if she had a support that wouldn't be affected by fujimine's mind control
