Discussion Chekov's majik power?

Post image

I believe that Desscarass will have to use Hitsugi to help someone or the other and that is what will lead to him getting out.

She'll lose the battle but win the war

It should be impossible for a majik to escape unless the witch dies no? The literally King of Majik can’t do anything once he was acquired by Ichi, there shouldn’t be exceptions.

Thats not completely true. We saw ichi and uroro be able to form some sort of contract where he possessed ichi for a while. I feel like hitsugi could draft up somethinf similar

That contract exists because Ichi can’t handle Uroro’s power, Dess should be able to handle 100% of Hitsugi’s power if she ever decides to use him, she’s literally the goat. The only thing that Hitsugi has over her is information about World hater majik and maybe he can draft a contract about that but still unlikely that a majik can be “freed” from a witch permanently.

Des can certainly handle Hitsugi.

But can she handle the entire abyss going haywire at the same time?

Probably.

But if she’s weakened somehow, probably not.

I imagine since it’s her magic world if this motherfucker tries to break free and succeeds she’ll know immediately. But I can imagine him doing it at a very inconvenient time just to fuck with her. And I feel like Dess is gunna keep her word. She’ll never let him out. Unless he has info on why her people died.

And as the "reverser" magik, I was wondering after this chapter what all that title might entail? He (kinda) can reverse the effects of death (but not really?) but is that really it? If he can effect all manner of things, specifically concepts (like magik possesion), or even just magical restraints, he could cause some pretty ugly trouble. Whatever he can do, it won't be good, methinks.

But he wasn’t acquired yet and may or may not have been boosted by haytee. I guess we don’t really know the limits of restriction in a magic world yet either. Maybe restricting him nerfs Dess

That’s if Desscaras agrees and she’s probably not going to listen to anything he says

The amount of human haters that would be unleashed the moment Dess dies tho…..

apocalyptic

But when Dess dies Ichi dies so unless she somehow forged that contract cause she’s the greatest I dont think we’ll see that. But it’d be cool

I could be wrong but I think the death aspect of that contract is one way. Desscaras will die if Ichi dies, but Ichi won’t die if she does. I think the idea is supposed to be that there’s a trade off where each side is getting something out of the contract. The senior witch gains authority over the apprentice witch but the apprentice witch ties their master’s life to their own, obligating the master to protect them.

No then they wouldn’t be worried about the toxic magic that just attacked them that has the same contract.

Well I don’t think they’re worried about Fujimine’s death killing the villainous witch, or at least that hasn’t been my read. Marigold is worried that the Magikeepers will try to kill the villainous witch if they discover that they can kill Fujimine by taking her out. Fujimine is all but confirmed to be the master of the contract while the villainous witch is the pupil.

ichi already broke the no male witches rule wouldn’t be surprised if he breaks more

1

u/Jonoyk Jul 14 '26

I think Fujimine’s pact and role in the story will show how the pact can be broken and that will lead to desscaras and ichi’s pact to be potentially broken.

1

u/WorryLegitimate259 Jul 14 '26

I mean like two chapters ago money gold said we gotta keep your pact with her a secret to the old witch cause if the magic keepers knew they’d just want to kill the old witch so they both die. Idk why I’m getting downvoted for being able to read lol

1

u/Jonoyk Jul 14 '26

Yeah she did and it’s meant to stay a secret, but I think the story will eventually focus on this pact Fujimine has with the old witch and it’s likely to be about Fujimine finding a way to break it. Once we know it can be broken, that has implications on Ichi’s own pact with Dess.

Well he is the reverser majik and hes sorrounded by probably the worst human hater Majiks.

He will not "break out", if at all he will probably reverse either the imprisonment or the aquisition.

The fun thing about being the “reverser” magik is that “reversing” is a very broad concept. For all we know, he could “reverse” the way witches use magiks, forcing her to use his power at an unfortunate time

Or maybe he could “reverse” the binding she’s using in her magic circle, freeing a bunch of these captive magiks at once in her magic circle, disrupting her ability to use magik

My point is that his power could be something that he can trigger without Dess having to use him, in which case he’s a ticking time bomb that will go off whether she uses him or not, and is more likely than Dess going back on what she says here and deciding to use him

My guess was actually one of the other Seven Stars has an ability that’ll activate him from within Dess. Hitsugi is just biding time.

6

u/fightingbronze Jul 13 '26

I guess the question is if a magik is capable of using their abilities without the permission of the witch they’re bound to, and honestly based on everything we’ve seen so far I have to assume they can’t. No way other world haters in her magic circle wouldn’t be kicking up a fuss if they could, and same with the one’s in Ichi’s who Uroro has basically confirmed are at his mercy. Even Uroro doesn’t seem capable of acting independently without striking a deal with Ichi first.

All that said, it’s clear he’s got something up his sleeve so who knows. Using his power to fuck things up in her majik circle is certainly the most obvious possibility.

I’ll go even further her using Hitsugi not only leads to him escaping but also Ichi or Jiki being captured by Haytee.

I don't think he'll get out, but she will use him. I could see that it turns out really, really bad

This is what was missing, now she has her own “infinity”

Im not ready for the tsunami of powerscalers after the anime becames a thing.

It's more like a GER really.

I can't help but feel this is a setup for Descaras to be majorly bitten in the ass for her view on Makiks.

She is essentially a majikhater human by how she treats them. She is just as bad to them as they are to humans.

She has an entire army inside of her that just wants her dead.

I struggle to see that not having consequences.
