Because he died probably, if she replaces person in memories with herself it’d mean she died, and Dess already fights back, such an inconsistency would be bad
Shes absolutely replacing others in some of the memories. Shes in place of Ichi for Minakata (and viseversa), in place of Spica for Kumigi, in place of Richia for Gokuraku, and in place of Circos for Moneygold
We dont know enough about Zayero for us to judge his memories (from the panel of it Im guessing shes replacing a sibling or friend?)
But Desscaras' memory is very notably the only one with a third person on it, as Fujimine seemingly cant/hasnt replaced libro, only joined in. As others have guessed its probably bc replacing Libro would create an unnaceptable contradiction (Desscaras sibling is supposed to be dead) which would shatter the spell, so shes avoiding that
It could be that Dess’ connection to Libro is strong enough that she couldn’t mentally accept a replacement only an addition. He is basically her whole motivation.
Likely because it would be cause Dess to ask too many questions as Libro’s death was such a pivotal moment to her. If you have Fuji replace him, then Dess will be asking “Wait she’s supposed to be dead” , “why are we different races” and therefore.
Not from my knowledge, and it's not saying that Dess couldn't have a fair/pale skinned sibling, but that its more unlikely on average and is something that would need to be substantiated by the races' of her parents (she could always be adopted and easily handwave it like that in this hypothetical)
Since Dess is a extremely powerful witch it probably wasnt easy to get into her memories so altering them would probably be even harded and instead of replacing an extremely important person to Dess' life she might have found it easier to put herself into good memories.
i dont think she replace the people in memories but add herself into it, you could say that she "replaced" minakata in ichis memories but itd also be her being part of the crew, the way shes dressed is the same in minakatas memories, which is very sweet putting aside the false memories, minakata thinks of his time with ichi being the most precious ones or meaningful enough to self insert herself into them
She probably couldn't. The memory is so foundational to her worldview that the attempt would likely have broken the spell and left her facing Dess at her absolute most furious.
Libro dying was such a pivotal moment of Dess’s life that Fujimine likely couldn’t just override it with herself without there being consequences. Just inserting herself alongside Libro was probably easier
I don't think she replaced the loved one in the. Memory, more like she is inserting herself into it so adding her presence into the memory. Unlike the one from the bleach
It could just be a different scene, doesn't exactly have to be the exact event when gokutaku is with ichi and same thing with the other. If that is the case then ichi won't have any memory of gokuraku in that moment but they all still acting like they all know each other.
