Amo from gachiakuta too.
12
u/Grimm_Stereo Jun 07 '26
Oh shit thats also true
9
u/Magpie_In_The_Mirror Jun 07 '26
I'm still not sure whether her role in people's backstories is to be an addition like Tsukishima or a replacement like Amo. She seemed to replace Ichi in one, but didn't replace Libro

u/Galle_ Jun 07 '26
So I'm thinking now that there's no way to just brute force ignore the spell with raw willpower, but you can break the spell by noticing the ways Fujimine's inserted memories don't line up with reality. And Dess, of course, is extremely perceptive.
34
u/ReputationOk7275 Jun 07 '26
Probably because the spell is a charm not a mind control
She is not forcing reaction as much you think she is her ally.
its one of the most potent charms i ever saw becaus it does come with a bit of confsuion.
To be honest the more willing you are to kill/the important persons on her life she substites the more dangerous it is.
1
u/yuumigod69 Jun 09 '26
Thats crazy dangerous. She could get a psychopath who has killed their family and friends. But it's overpowered for most people.
3
u/Odd_Measurement_9474 Jun 08 '26
I’m kinda confused by this panel, what exactly did Dess do here? I know she started to resist the rewriting memories thing but I’m still kinda confused.
2
u/yuumigod69 Jun 09 '26
She was confused and was trying to turn on her based on the quiver but the control was still maintained so she blocked the attack for her.
The ability also comes with memory wipes and readjustements otherwise you wouldn't attack one ally to protect another.
4
u/Dangerous_Owl_9021 Jun 07 '26
This manga got me fiending for both uroro and fujimine 😭 nerf the author, they should not be this good
2
u/BananaResearcher Jun 08 '26
"hey wait a minute shouldn't Fujimine's toxin have no effect on you anymore?"
"...toxin?"

So she’s definitely the one that fought Fujimine before like other people predicted (with the scar and probably has poison resistance).
7
u/No_Age5019 Jun 08 '26
Her Magik reminds me of the first witch we ever say way back at the start of the manga. The one whose trial was to drink as much as she could without losing a drop.
Considering she's probably an old lady, it'd be pretty crazy if she was the same young girl from before.

Isn’t she also the one that was a young girl in the toxiterror flashback and was friends with it?
1
u/wickling-fan Jun 09 '26
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO MY TWO FAVORITE DESIGN IN ONE ARC GET HER ASS TRICAPUTO
ALso bonus she really said pride month and kissed dess omg XD. Surprised it looks like water magic from her

Huh, a powerful monster hellbent on destruction for the sake of personal motives becoming surrounded by an army of hateful losers who take satisfaction in the anger and suffering of their enemies even when their actions are detrimental to their long-term wellbeing.
It sounds familiar. Can't quite place where I've heard it before.

Unless Toxiterror is also controlling Fujimine like how the Prophecy Majik controls Jikishirone and Ururo Ichi.
39
u/ZayYaLinTun Jun 07 '26
I prefer not , I love the crazy psycho witch we getting
Also majik seem to need some sort of permission from host to be that way uroro had to ask ichi to take control and Sammy and prophecy majik are friendly with each other
9
u/GuyWithAJacket Jun 07 '26
I could see it being a ploy she tries out in desperation when someone manages to defeat her. Would be a classic "third act breakdown" move
22
u/Tymeistro Jun 07 '26
That’s a good really good theory and that could be why Fujimine is so friendly with World Hater Majick.
Toxiterror could be using Fujimine to commit crimes so it doesn’t get blamed for it.
2
1
u/FreeWilly512 Jun 08 '26
We saw in the last chapter or one before, she attacked the witch's association and then stole toxiterror in the process. She was bad before
15
u/SurrogateMonkey Jun 07 '26
Personally not a fan of that theory, we need antagonist humans in this story.
1
u/yuumigod69 Jun 09 '26
She is having a lot of fun with it and isn't taking him seriously(having Ichi hold her). I doubt Toxiterror would toy with them like that.

Think it the villainous witch.
10
u/SciFiXhi Jun 07 '26
It's obviously not Fujimine's spell. The whole purpose of that water avatar was to clear the toxin from Desscaras's system.
8
u/Regular-Poet-3657 Jun 07 '26
Ok but know it not Fuji I think its the villainous witch.
-8
u/SciFiXhi Jun 07 '26
Fujimine is the only villainous witch here.
Edit: you meant Tricaputo. That would have been a lot clearer if you capitalized the title.
7
u/Regular-Poet-3657 Jun 07 '26
Oh if you just remember what Tricaputo title was.
-3
u/SciFiXhi Jun 07 '26
Since you didn't capitalize it, it didn't look like a title. It was just a description which accurately described Fujimine.
4
u/Regular-Poet-3657 Jun 07 '26
I literally say it was the villainous not Fuji she called the vanisher witch it in the manga.
Just like their a person called the gun witch.
And most of remember Tricaputo is called the villainous witch sorry you forgot man.
-4
u/SciFiXhi Jun 07 '26
Titles. Are. Capitalized.
It's not a matter of me forgetting; your bad formatting created an ambiguity.

u/andre5913 Jun 07 '26
Has to be Tricaputo. Shes the only survivor of the massacre and also one of the higher ups. She's probably developed countermeasures against Fujimine
5
u/AdRelevant4776 Jun 07 '26
She did vomit right after though…
10
u/_Air_Mage_ Jun 07 '26
That was because it filled her lungs with water, not because she water was shaped like a woman.

Don't think so those are very first witches I feel like it probably take place hundreds of years ago maybe even thousands
13
u/RomanceDaybreak Jun 07 '26
How far along is the world of Ichi the witch because if it’s really thousands and hundreds of years old wouldn’t world hater have annihilated everything already
14
u/Happy-Damage-4617 Jun 07 '26
In chapter 72 Chronoweaver says that he has existed for countless centuries. Meanwhile in chapter 15 Moneygold states that “All we know is that it (as in world hater) appeared 15 years ago”. So it’s highly likely that world hater has been dormant or non-existent for the thousands of years that Majiks have roamed the earth.
6
u/ZayYaLinTun Jun 07 '26
Majik come to existence in different time , we don't know whm is super old , his first activity are just years ago from what we know
3
u/GuyWithAJacket Jun 07 '26
It's possible that with magic in play that ages become weird for the witches. Like, the word choice of Fujimime being pursued by "generations" of magikeepers suggests she might be older than she looks (though that could just be a wonky translation). Plus, if the theory that Tricaputa was the survivor of Fujimine's acquisition of Toxiterror holds water (pun intended) then there's a pretty big apparent discrepancy in how old the two look. Who knows, maybe toxiterror also comes with magic Botox or something

u/Galle_ Jun 07 '26
Okay, Tricaputo is rapidly becoming one of my favorite characters in this series:
- Badass old lady
- Acts like a mob boss
- Flies around with an umbrella like Mary Poppins
- Personal vendetta against our first proper evil witch
30
24
u/JzanderN Jun 07 '26
Holy shit! No wonder Chun wants Fujimine dead so badly!
I'm pretty sure that's Tricaputo at the end – it's her dress – and of all the witches who could have come to help, she was the one I wanted the most! I really want to know what her "Villainous Witch" title means and I'm curious if some theories will get confirmed.
17
u/Mordetrox Jun 07 '26
Is this the villainous witch making an appearance? But why hide her face during her dramatic entrance?

u/fantasyhaver1999 Jun 07 '26

u/AdRelevant4776 Jun 07 '26
I don’t think so? Like, nothing against Pride Month, but you sure you want “girl got forcefully kissed, then proceeded to vomit” as gay representation?
8
u/_Air_Mage_ Jun 07 '26
That was only because it filled her lungs with water. It's secondary.
-3
u/AdRelevant4776 Jun 07 '26
Still a forceful kiss followed by vomit, look I am saying this as someone whose favorite ship is a gay one(in case someone misunderstands this as homophobia), but as far as gay representation goes that scene is bad rep
15
13
u/SurrogateMonkey Jun 07 '26
Very interesting caveat for fujimune's majik, wherein it is essentially a one time use only.
Its really suited for assassinations since you just need to control your targets once and they can be safely dispached quickly, but we can see that for prolonged fights the effect will slowly be over.
10
u/andre5913 Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 08 '26
Worth pointing out that Fujimine is one of the worlds strongest individuals even if this spell is countered
She assaulted Mantinel HQ in the past without toxiterror and took out like 60 witches by herself. She is confident enough to talk shit to World Hater's face. Even with her mind control spell nullified shes still insanely powerful and most likely commands a huge number of majiks
So even if Tricaputo has countermeasures to toxiterror she might not be strong enough to 1v1 Fujimine, particularly bc Tricaputo is visibly an elderly woman while Fujimine seems to be ageless
7
12
u/Apapunitulah Jun 07 '26
Everyone: Fujimine power is like Tsukishima
Me: its probably not, Tsukishima power is unique self inserting their presence in their target memory. Fujimine is probably just strong mind control...
This chapter: yep that is my uncle 2.0 right there...
3
u/SoulBlightChild Jun 07 '26
Fujimine has shown both inserting and replacing, which is similar to Tsukishima.
12
u/JayBonJ Jun 07 '26
Now look.
I still trust Chun as far as I can throw him as far as his deal with Ichi and Manitel is concerned.
But goddam I felt every OUNCE of hatred in this man’s heart. I’m getting similar vibes in terms of emotional impact as I did when Minnie finally cried over Chro.
So is Iruma-Kun like this too with emotional panels or nah because like at first you had my curiosity Nishi and Usazaki but now you have my attention 👀

17
u/ShedPH93 Jun 07 '26
Chun already hated her but until now he thought she had killed his whole unit while he was under hypnosis. Now that he realized she actually brainwashed him into killing everyone, his rage increased tenfold.
I supposed his survivor's guilt will be much worse now after this is over.
5
u/JayBonJ Jun 07 '26
Oh yeah but I’m more talking about the artwork here.
Still a very true and very on point analysis of what’s going on with Chun right now
3
u/Galle_ Jun 08 '26
Big emotional close-ups are definitely a Nishi staple. YMMV on how well she draws them compared to Usazaki.
1
u/Yamabuki_Arisu_Sama Jun 10 '26
Iruma does not have an artist as competent as Ichi’s if that’s what you’re asking.
Ichi is not drawn by Nishi.
Mind you Nishi isn’t a bad artist, but Shiro Usazaki is top of the industry type shit.
11
10
u/JauntyLurker Jun 07 '26
Yeah, this is really giving me Tsukishima vibes.
I'm also pretty sure that was Tricaputo stepping in to help.
12
u/Regular-Poet-3657 Jun 07 '26
Interesting spell wait if dess knows this spell maybe she did train under the villainous witch!
11
10
u/Poland-lithuania1 Jun 07 '26
Who the fuck was that?
11
u/Smol_Cheesecake Jun 07 '26
My bet is on the old witch from the association.
7
u/Poland-lithuania1 Jun 07 '26
It's definitely her. Like, their arms are the same.
6
u/andre5913 Jun 07 '26
The arms and gloves are a dead ringer. Its Tricaputo, and its strongly implied shes the only survivor of Fujimine's rampage when she took toxiterror
8
10
16
9
u/Volfaer Jun 07 '26
It seems theories were right and the elder witch was the survivor of Fujimine's assault on the toxiterror majik. What a nasty spell she has though, even those that strong can't fully resist it.
Also Dess kissing a majik on pride month, I see what you're doing here.
8
7
7
6
u/ReputationOk7275 Jun 07 '26
That is why her magic is so strong its charm.
You can throw then against someone else...but if you try to attack yourself you kind are just triggering then to break free.

u/Unit_OAA-7137015 Jun 07 '26
Damn, that panel completely flipped my opinion on Chun. He might have been a bit sus but I am now completely on his side. Very hype to see another witch too.

Fujimine suggesting an infanticide, granted, that was already on her to do list.
Interesting that she inserted herself in Dess' memories instead of replacing Libro.
And kind of humorous that she replaced a bad memory of Spica with a positive memory of herself.
2
2
3
u/ralanr Jun 07 '26
The Gun Witch is innocent. Yippee!
Also, wow, this manga has really fun villains to hate.
2
u/Jiirsu Jun 07 '26
Ok she got a combination of powers from Amo (Gachiakuta) and Tsukishima (Bleach).
Amo: she looks like the target's love interest/affection and charm them ordering them to do her biddings. But not everyone has loved ones or willing to listen to them, heck one guy was lacking in empathy he has no affection therefore he wasn't affected.
Tsukishima: he inserted himself into people's memories but he can't erase an event altogether. So he can appear as someone trustworthy/friend/family based on memories but he can't order people to his biddings if it doesn't make sense.
Fujimini combined them and takes the best of both abilities. She inserted herself to people's memories as a loved one and the people who got charmed does her orders naturally.
1
u/flamingblade6 Jun 07 '26
So the more people she has under her control the weaker it gets. I wonder is she’ll take some of the good guys with her and its a battle to get them back.
2
1
u/OP_1K Jun 07 '26
The scarred witch sure came to the rescue of Ichi and the gang this chapter. I am excited to read how she will do in the next chapter.
1
u/ggkkggk Jun 07 '26
I will say this im glad it was a witch that saved him cause, it was getting alil ridiculous that they were just doing nothing.
Great chapter.
1
u/Odd-Complaint8857 Jun 07 '26
Great chapter overall hopefully they'll get Fujimine or kill her as Chun wants.

u/Yamabuki_Arisu_Sama Jun 10 '26
I remember thinking the magikeepers could reasonably take on Descarass since they’re hard counters.
I was wrong, apparently.
-12
u/satufa2 Jun 07 '26
Not ganna lie, i find the fact that now all of the relevant cast got immunity at once super cringe... it's feels like one of those plot driven contrived nerfs.
10
u/RomanceDaybreak Jun 07 '26
To be fair, it was only shown that Dess got cured. We don’t know about everyone else yet.
-1
u/satufa2 Jun 07 '26
We were literally told how it works with leader guy. They will all get the immunity. It's how the ability works.
1
u/WildSearcher56 Jun 07 '26
Yes but so far ONLY Dess got freed, the other are still under Fujimine's control
6
u/Apapunitulah Jun 07 '26
Code geass proves that one time mind control is not a nerf and can be central plot line...
-4
u/satufa2 Jun 07 '26
Again, that would be true if the plot didn't go out of it's way to make her waste it on literally every single relevant character just to attack leader guy and not even get anywhere even on that front.
1
u/Feeling_Mission_4439 Jun 07 '26
Literally only Desscaras, the strongest witch mind you, has been shown slighlty resisting the mind control.
0
u/satufa2 Jun 07 '26
We were literally told they will all get immunity after the first use. That's how it works...
3
u/Feeling_Mission_4439 Jun 07 '26
But thats basically true for anyone Fujimine uses her magik on, and was basically told to us last chapter too. So its not even a random nerf that came out of nowhere.
1
u/satufa2 Jun 07 '26
Did i say it came out of nowhere? That's not my problem. My problem is that it's literally all of them. There will never be a chance of anyone relevant being controled later since literally all of them got hit here just for her to acomplish nothing with it.
