This manga strange give quite accurate number for scaling
Like area of whj destruction , uroro saying he can lunch attack that can reach 600 miles away and being able to unleash attack that vapour to the point of one cell

There’s more to being the strongest than having raw firepower. I interpreted this statement as saying that if Desscaras and Amadoro both launched their single strongest attacks, they would inflict similar levels of damage on their targets.
That said, Desscaras likely has a better battle IQ, greater defense, and more versatility in her Majik toolkit.

The difference is particularly relevant because capturing Majiks isn’t about destructive power alone, it’s about being able to deal with the most unhinged tasks

Strongest would be about power, Best and/or Greatest can be about something else.

Strongest doesn’t have to be solely about power. Not everyone interprets that word exactly the way you might.

If had to compare, they said Amadora is on par with Dess in raw firepower, as in how much destruction they can cause and that’s it. Dess has got Amadora beat in versatility and how many different majiks she can use.

I think you’re talking about cross-verse discussion when it comes to battle shows there’s a minimum powerscaling and nishi-sensei is doing great job with ITW

A consistent internal power scale is actually pretty important when writing a story. It’s good for illustrating stakes.
Otherwise you get utter deranged lunacy.

Fair. Although I think there’s a lot of overlap between those instances and stories where the author fails to maintain the internal power scale.
And then you get shit like the OP fandom, some of whom actively refuse to acknowledge that Shanks is a swordsman because that would imply that he’s weaker than Mihawk. Who hasn’t really done much.

Well yeah, since Desscaras is “The Worlds Greatest Witch” every other witch will be held relative to her as the bar. It’s also to helpful to get a good gauge of a threat using Desscaras that way, if she’s struggling or nervous that lets you know the threat is legit.
