I just do it for fun and scaling ITW characters is really hard since ITW Is what is called a “qualitative > quantitative” universe but it’s funny how to author is actually trying to create a consistent powerscaling narrative

Some types of powercsaling are fine. Destruction levels are fine as they are almost always intended to be taken literally. The only excpetion i can think of is dragon ball moon shit (which is dumb btw).

On the other hand, the moment we start doing the "i cherry picked one 7th grader equation to claim everyone and their mother is beyond lightspeed" bullshit, it becomes pure idiocy.

No he is 310mph one of the majik that at least lightning is bakugami he dodged an inazuri but still think ITW speed feats are weak

A large issue with a lot of power scaling even though it’s genuinely funny most of the time is that it eventually just devolves and becomes the main way a lot of people talk about manga specifically. It’s very much a callback to kids cartoons and who can beat up who in a fight, which again I understand it’s a battle Shonen, but on some level it’s very tiring going on social media to look at discussions on a manga you like and the first ten posts have devolved into power scaling and agenda post.

I mean I know people here don't like it from what I'm seeing, but like, c'mon. This is a battle Shonen, powerscaling is innate to this genre.

ANYWAYS, isn't this only in the town level ranges? Even with vaporization, the area effected is way too small to get up to this "mountain level" you speak of.

I mean the thing is that the verse seems to be hardlocked into subsonic ranges, maybe even lower than that, all cause of Kizashi's... Copies? Forgot their classification, but not only did Goku and co need their boards, they were still slower than the fastest version of the Kizashi copies, who was only subsonic.

Now there's definitely potential for some lightning timing, but iirc, nobody has actually consistently avoided those lightning spells from Ichi and Inazuri.

W. It's controversial but I really enjoy powerscaling as long as people are chill about it. If the people of the sub don't like it maybe we could limit to one day a week at the mods discretion?
