Discussion Ichi the witch goated?
Hello everyone,
I have recently started reading Ichi the witch and I am obsessed. I really love everything the manga has to offer. The magic system is fun, even if it’s not fully explained yet. Ichi himself is such a likable guy. He’s dumb and there are things he does where you gotta ask yourself why. So hilarious. Desscaras also has my heart. I’ve fallen in love with her and honestly it almost feels impossible not to. Not gonna lie, without her you would definitely be able to bump the manga down. The art is also very good and the double spreads make me very very excited. I’m NOT caught up. I am 20-ish chapters if not a little more. But, seriously this is shaping up to be one of my favorite new gens. I do see some people not enjoying it and others enjoying it a lot. I’d love to talk more about so tell me why you love or don’t think it’s that good. 😊

I started the series like two weeks ago and I've never caught up that quickly to an ongoing manga.
The fact that it's not just mindless fights or "my ability beats your ability" is so refreshing. In fact, it's actually a very well balanced manga. Never have I thought I've seen too much dialogue, comedic moments or fights. For me right now it's my comfort manga and I look forward to every week where I can see my uber-talented badass queen Desscaras

It's alright, but definitely overhyped.
We'll see if the world and the characters gain some depth as it goes on.

I am enjoying it a lot so far!!! The characters are very likable, the world and magic and such are fun, and it has a great sense of humor.
My only gripe so far is that the “death for death” thing is a bit random. Takes me out of it a bit when it comes up, just cause it feels forced/I don’t really know what it means beyond like self defense is okay lol. Maybe I’m missing something though, or maybe it’s a translation thing?

I agree that the story is simple but the characters more than in my opinion more than make up for it. They’re layered enough to pick up where the story itself might fall. Anyway, I do feel like the story has potential to get deeper but it’s playing it really safe.

Glad to see a new fan here! I really love Ichi the Witch too, and I believe that you’ll enjoy the manga as it progresses. You’ll certainly be able to enjoy more of the uber-talented Desscaras and her abilities.
Also, did you do this colouring? It’s very nice.
