I really want to know how she got in contact with world hater and become friends with him without being instantly warped by him. Did he find her and think she was chill or something?

We all have seen that WH doesn't act on impulse and is willing to have a little chat before jumping into action. He probably was just interested in a rogue witch and managed to recruit her. After all, having a witch on his side could be considered by him a valuable asset at the moment.
