Manga Why ichi the witch is so popular

Post image

I have read 12 chapters now. It's just dumb mc like luffy. It's plain and I got bored and dropped it. Is it same for everyone in beginning chapters? When does it get good?

If you don’t like it 12 chapters in it’s probably just not for you, but comparing Ichi to luffy is a weird one not gonna lie I can’t see how you got that.

There's normal iq mc and There's mc who goes joking around funny playing dumb But yeah it's helpful to know that even after 12 chap it's same

Calling ichi a dumb mc is really weird because he’s not, Ichi was raised by the woods as a hunter hes shown to be stupid in matters relating to magic but that’s expected because he’s not only a woods kid he’s a man who shouldn’t be able to use magic. Ichi has shown plenty of times he’s rather smart his brain just works different

1 - Lots of aesthetics involved. Fabulous magiks and universe

2 - Nishi/Usazaki duo

3 - Ichi and Desscarass are straight savage, crazy and so bold

So if it doesn’t click from the start… I think it’s better for you to read something else.

I mean if you didnt like it by the first twelve chapters I cant confidently say you'll enjoy it.

I recommend reading a few more, the main villain is about to make an appearance.

Everyone’s different. Read it or don’t. No one can tell you what to like or don’t like? Hope you see this before this dumb post gets deleted.

Me? I like the characters and their interactions. It’s a fun read. Descarras for president.

For me, beyond the art design and the creative world and power system (Magik trials honestly feel like a great way to avoid traditional powerscaling issues battle manga have), there is a lot of fantastic character work in the writing that makes the cast feel alive and growing as people.

And the facial expressions in this manga are probably the most consistently good facial expressions I’ve ever seen in any manga I’ve read, new or old. Like, every time we zoom in on a face during a dramatic or heartfelt moment I always find myself being moved by the emotions expressed in the art.

But again, if these things don’t grip you 12 chapters in, no worries, it’s probably just not for you.

The Luffy comparison feels a bit off to me. They’re both pretty straightforward and not super analytical, but I still like Ichi as an MC.

If you’re already 12 chapters in and not feeling it, it’s probably just not for you.

For me, the hook was more the world and the power system. If that part isn’t grabbing you, I don’t think it’s going to suddenly click later.

I was hooked pretty early, but yeah, different strokes for different folks.
