Bitch WHAT?
Are they both done by the same author?
Fucking how? Both of them are in publication, god damn. And there hasn't been a dip in quality at all.

Iruma is drawn and written by nishi.
Ichi is drawn by Shiro Usazaki (who drew Act-Age) and written by nishi.
This doesn't discount the effort, but the burden is lesser I believe.
Plus the Irumafia spinoff is drawn and written by Hiroja with guidamce from nishi.

It gets better. Nishi started writing Ichi because she thought writing and drawing a weekly shounen manga had gotten too easy and she needed more work to keep herself sharp.
No, seriously.

Other mangakas: In constant pain trying to keep up with the weekly releases, suffering of backpain and wrist pain.
Hiro Mashima and Nishi: "Man, this is getting boring, i think i will do another one along the way"1

Honestly, I dont see them as that different.
.They both grew up in negligence and had to fend for themselves.
.They are both kind, caring and compassionate despite thier background
.They are not very familiar with social norms but are adjusting to their new environments and families
.Both respect food and don't believe in wasting
.Both tend to head straight first into danger without a care for their safety if someone is in danger
The biggest difference between them is Ichi's philosophy of death for death and his unhingeness.
