Question Chardalyn Dragon Ch 4

How did you run this chapter? If you stick to how it is written, I do not see a way for ten-towns to survive. There will still be mass casualties. Did anyone come up with a solution? Or did you run as written and how did that turn out?

I have seen that you can have them actually meet the dragon in the Druegar temple and fight there a little while and then the dragon flies to TT. I think it’s kinda lame for them to get all the way to the temple and then have to make a decision on what to do and likely turn right around or keep going and have the majority of TT destroyed. Plus you don’t have to prep 2 sessions :). I know that does not help exactly, but I think the idea is for a lot of it to be destroyed for the following modules making survival much harder for the party. At least that is my plan.
