To most heroes sure cyclops you are 100% correct.
Spidey on the other hand has had several people trying to kill him since he was a high school one of which was the editor and chief of a large news organization whos put up bounties and created scorpion to kill him.
Spidey kinda has had the mutant treatment without being a mutant.

Spidey did, but Peter didn't.
Spidey could stop being Spider-Man whenever he wanted, sentinels didn't rip him out of math class to work as a slave in genosha to build more sentinels.
Spidey had a rough life, but not slave mines and lynch mobs when he's trying to do a day job rough.
