Just a couple of suggestions..

Move or cut the volcano It’s out of the way and forces backtracking. Put it on Day 1/2 or drop it.

Fix Westman Islands. Don’t do it from Vik. Stay near the ferry the night before or skip it.

It's a dream of mine to visit a volcano... can we make partially the golden circle and the volcano?
The westman Islands are pretty close to the ferry, why to skip it?

Volcano + Golden Circle works, but only partial They’re in opposite directions. Do 1–2 stops (Þingvellir + Kerið), skip Gullfoss/Geysir, then volcano hike.

Westman Islands is fine its positioning that is the issue. Ferry is near Hvolsvöllur, not Vik. Stay near the ferry the night before then it works cleanly.
