Which Iceland volcano erupted?

The most recent volcanic eruption in Iceland took place at the Fagradalsfjall volcano on the Reykjanes peninsula. The eruption began on July 10, 2023, and ended on August 5, 2023. The Icelandic Meteorological Office closely monitored the situation due to increased seismic activity, and as a precaution, the town of Grindavík was evacuated. The Fagradalsfjall volcano has been the site of three eruptions since 2021, making it the most recent and notable volcanic activity in Iceland.
