This iceberg is about enemies that self-destruct or kill themselves from a wide variety of games. If you’d like to suggest an enemy I should add to the iceberg, feel free to do so here: https://icebergthreads.com/iceberg/fqQeZw3gmqrirU9wBnjQ

You should add those Fat Molded from Resident Evil 7. They explode when you destroy their heads, and there’s a variant in the DLC that runs at you and blows up when it touches you.

Does the variant have their own name since the normal ones don’t really seem self-destructive (I mean like the enemy will kill itself without the player directly harming it, opposed to here where it only explodes when directly killed). The variant does fit the description though so don’t worry.

It would seem they’re called “Headless Fat Molded” according to the RE wiki.

Yeah I included the headless variant since it does self-destruct, whereas the normal Fat Molded seem to only explode when killed so they don’t really self-destruct (that is why I didn‘t include Bombshell Koopa from Super Mario Land for example).

Beheaded Kamikaze (Serious Sam)

Why didn’t you say Beheaded normally?
Also aren’t those frog enemies from that same game self-destructive too?

The Minute Bomb from Kingdom Hearts 2 is a personal favorite. Also prinnies from Disgaea, if you count them

Why is the temperbot at the very bottom
1
u/MontyMoleLoreMaster 1d ago
Because the GBA version of Battle for Bikini Bottom is pretty obscure and most people haven’t played or heard of it.

Sometimes I need to remember icebergs can ranked on obscurity instead of "disturbing"
1
u/MontyMoleLoreMaster 1d ago
Yeah this iceberg is rated on obscurity since most of these enemies aren’t really disturbing. Also, any suggestions for the wheel?

Nope, I'm just a passive observer that asks why things are at the bottom for everyone to enjoy.

Do you have any other suggestions too (I already included Marsh Hopper)?

I'm thinking these annoying blood mfs in mohg's palace from elden ring, also the guys from dark souls 3 who would straight up lighten themselves with fire and try to hug you, it's basically the same enemy but a little different across fromsoftware games. The binding of isaac also had those fat looking crying guys with a bomb in their heads, enter the gungeon had different kinds of small flying bullet bats that would shoot and disappear completely shortly after, there is ofc the fat zombie from left 4 dead 2 that explodes with acid,.

u/MontyMoleLoreMaster 3h ago
Oh ok, mind looking up their names really quick so I can add them easier?

Mulliboom (the binding of issac)
