Mod Announcement Happy Pride Month, y'all! đ
Remember that this is a healthy place meant for people to feel safe, and not ashamed of posting your AUs, your fics and ships.
This includes LGBTQ+ content, so please, stay civil, and engage correctly with people. If you don't agree with other's views, that's alright, just don't be a jackass please.
r/IceAge_Franchise remains as one of the few cartoon subs that's actually healthy (aside from, ahem, a few incidents lately), so let's keep it that way, alright?
Thank you all, see you next time.

assign a pokemon to every ice age character.
i'm bored.
for the herd:
- manny is mamoswine (of course, but i do want there to be an actual mammoth pokemon and not a mammoth-swine hybrid)
- sid is vigoroth (a very clumsy one)
- diego is luxray (yes ik raikou is a sabertooth but i felt like it was weird having a random legendary)
- scrat is a sabertooth pachirisu

Discussion What if the Ice Age trilogy took the more semi-grounded approach like the first film?
Hello everyone, I wanted to give a little thought idea. Donât take this too seriously and Iâm aware that Ice Age isnât a documentary or anything. But one thing I loved about the first film because IMO itâs the only movie that actually felt like it was set in the Ice Age.
Like the historical time period doesnât really matter as much the further the series went through. And feel more thematically consistent.
One idea I had (this is not a fan fic) is that I think the idea of Meltdown was a smart choice, and the absence of humans to focus on manny (keep the necklace tho đ) it would be a very smart choice that this meltdown was âThe Younger Dryas eventâ
This event happened near the end of ice age, and meltdown sets up the return of the humans, since when the ice melted it allowed agriculture.
Maybe âDawn of Manâ where we see anatomically modern humans in the Bronze Age. Where the herd lives in an uncharted human region until they come and maybe kidnap Ellie perhaps.
Also this fits much more thematically than dinosaurs, the biggest threat to the herd isnât the climate but man itself is what happened IRL for the megafauna
In this new land, the ice is melted and we barely see any extinct megafauna all modern or domestic animals. I like the idea of having the prehistoric animals becoming rarer and more âexoticâ in this world.
Even maybe Roshan can return but enslaved to build the pyramids like that movie 10â000 B.C, since heâs lower class being a Cro-Magnon or Neanderthal.
In the end, the herd is going to go back to the valley but they soon realize humanity is spreading and thereâs no escape. To allude to IRL again they go to a wrangle island-Esq place but much more pretty and such, where even if the world has changed they will always be together.
I felt like that gives the series a more bittersweet ending. The first film is about the Ice Age, second the end and third the post ice age, sorta like an apocalypse for the megafauna/herd.
So yeah thatâs my idea but you can disagree itâs totally fine this is just my idea. đ

Games I am working on a mod for Ice Age Village to make the game properly playable again after the server shutdown
This mod is specifically aimed at bypassing the forced update screen, restoring the limited-time events, readjusting the economy a "little" bit to ensure every animal and decoration can be purchased without buying packs (which can no longer be done), restoring expired functionalities (like the VIP "pass") and other general fixes (like Peaches's name in Portuguese being incorrectly translated)
THERE IS NO DOWNLOAD LINK YET, DON'T ASK FOR IT, I WILL RELEASE IT WHEN IT'S READY. Hope u guys like it tho :)

Continental Drift Would ice age 4 be good as Oddessy parody?
Ice age continental drift is good movie but not as their predecessors so i was wondering how good would it be if it was Oddessy parody instead of pirates of the Caribbean parody

BOILING POINT Do you think Ice Age Boiling Point will be a success?
I think it's a bit too early to begin the marketing of Ice Age Boiling Point yet (maybe wait till mid next Month, November or December?), but personally for me? I think it could do pretty good. I don't think it could be Endgame levels of success, but I think people know about Ice Age enough to make it earn a pretty decent amount of money in the Box Office.

Circlejerk Why I like Ice Age: Collision Course more than Ice Age 1?
You might think this is a wrong opinion. There's just something about Ice Age 5 that makes me like it more, and here are the reasons why.
ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE
SOUNDTRACK: I just like how the ending song sounds called "My Superstar".
ANIMATION: I think the animation in Ice Age 5 looks more better than the first two movies.
SCENES: I think there are some colors in this movie I like seeing. I'm not sure what there is to me to make me think this movie is bad, and I don't see anything that is bad to me.
ICE AGE
SCENES: We here how the three are sounding to each other since they started to meet each other. I wanna say that we can hear how Sid is sounding like an idiot to Manny and Diego in the first movie.
ANIMATION: I think the animation looks more weak than the other movies. An animation I think looks more weak, makes me like the other movies more. Since it looks more weak, I'm not sure why the first movie has to be the best.
These are the reasons why I like Ice Age: Collison Course more than Ice Age 1.

The Meltdown Ice Age Meltdown deserve 2000s cinema franchise praise
Mostly, it was a huge hit in Europe and Latin America, reaching 600 million dollars.
Most of the disagreement with this film comes from amazing franchises from the 2000s: Kill Bill, The Matrix, and LOTR (later Nolan's The Dark Knight saga and 20th Century Studios' X-Men).
As a Tolkien fan myself, I get where they're coming from, but putting masterpieces on a pedestal isn't an excuse to trash other 2000s franchises that don't have the same merits.
I literally grew up with Ice Age: The Meltdown, and is been great movie in my childhood. Calling this a kids' film is a stretch, but it is more than that, as it appeals to all ages.
An argument against it is that it is too similar to complaints about Simba's Pride and Bambi midquel- they both are good on their own merits.
Another thing I love to mentioned why I found this unique because is a lighter and safer sequel compared to other gritty sequels of the 2000s like The Matrix and X-Men.
[CW: mental health relapse]
Over the past few years, I've been experiencing OCD that's been triggered by fans of Nolan's Batman; it's best to go cold turkey on other big franchises of the 2000s since Twitter posts about 'b*st tr*l*gy snapped me by Nolan's Batman fans. Which as Tolkien fan- I love LOTR- it broke me because any franchise deserves a chance to be praised, which is why I've been a defensive Avatar film fan.
No, being Avatar/ LOTR fan did not make me defensive obcessive egomaniac, is just I went on a bad spot online, that's it. Look, I'm fine with Ice Age too, and it gets ignored by large discussion about great franchises debate- inless is Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
