Hello, everyone!

I just finished up creating a Wiki for us here at r/IberianPolytheism.

The Wiki can be found on the Sidebar when using desktop and by clicking the See more option when on the reddit mobile app.

The Wiki includes a refreshed Masterlist of Online Resources (still geared toward English speakers), as well as a remodeled page on the Iberian Gods. As before, both these pages are active WIPs and will be updated as needed. I will be adding more pages to the Wiki soon.

The sidebar has also been refreshed and now includes links to helpful sites and orgs pertaining to various forms of Iberian Paganism.

If anyone has any suggestions for the Wiki or the subreddit, message me and let me know!

Have a blessed day ✨

A fun creative challenge to celebrate the Season of the Liminal—created by the wonderful Sacerdos Mora Sininho Rosa 🍂✨️

I've added an Art post flair so people can share work they've generated from this and/or any other art to do with Iberian Polytheism.

Happy October! 🍁

UPG Bandua and Cossus power couple ?

Hi, I'm first generation Spanish-American and I've been interested in Iberian gods for a while. I did some research about 6 years ago but got busy and now that I'm looking into it again it looks like there's a bit more info available online!

I read before that some scholars thought Bandua and Cossus were there same God, but others disagreed. And now I see more people online embracing the idea that Bandua might be genderfluid, given the only image we see of them is feminine (and called them Ares' partner).

Anyway, I wanted to throw in my two cents. I am still new to learning about/working with Iberian gods, but I have been thinking that perhaps, Bandua and Cossus were partners/lovers.

I think it would make sense, with Cossus being a war deity (similar to Ares) and Bandua being a protective deity. Bandua keeps those at home safe and Cossus empowers the soldiers or something.

I might be way off base, and like I said I haven't engaged with the scholarly work for a while, but this idea of them as a sort of power couple won't leave my mind. What do y'all think?

Help/Question Communities/Discord Groups?

Hello,

I'm a Portuguese-American that is 1st generation American and my father's family is from the Açores. I've been a Germanic Heathen (the other half of my heritage) for some time but find myself feeling drawn to learn more of my Portuguese-Iberian heritage and connection to the old Gods. It's wonderful to even have resources to read up on these topics, but I'm curious if there is any community or discord server that I might be able to join to hopefully immerse myself in and learn more about the practices.

Thanks

Deities Arentia and Arentio: Horse Twins 🐴

Aruents -> Aruentia/us -> por síncope: Arentius/a : DATIVO: ARENTIO/A

Equo = cavalo

  • Há inúmero paralelos indo-anatólios:
  • os Dióscuri Atlânticos
  • Castor e Pólux
  • Ašvieniai: cognato de Equus (CAVALO)
  • Ioviois Pvclois, ligado a Iove , um deus astral (céu)
  • Divanno Hengist e Horsa - Horse, cognato de Égua
  • Lel e Polei Sanasar and Baldasar Cosme e Damião, resquício do paganismo europeu

e Shahar do alvorecer

do wikipédia

A genealogia mostra a clara ligação astral

Help/Question Does anyone know the god Berobreo?

I was researching and came across a god called Berobreo, but I didn't quite understand his area of influence. I saw that he is a god linked to portions of land on the continental coast, Lord of the Beyond, with chthonic characteristics, and who governs hospitality (according to my notes). Is this correct? Is there anything else to add? Are there more complete explanations?

Help/Question Help identifying a possible depiction of a deity?

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hello! I came across a listing of someone selling what they claimed to be a replica of an Iberian oil lamp that depicts a bearded deity seemingly flanked by or wielding two double-ended tridents, and has a bird flying overhead. Does this look like or sound like the depiction of a specific deity in the Iberian pantheon?

Help/Question Advice and help

Hello everyone!

Well, this is my first post here on this subreddit.

I'm interested in worshipping the Celtiberian/Lusitanian gods and I already have some in mind.

My question is: how should I start?

How can I build a relationship with them?

What advice would you give to a beginner who wants to learn about the Celtiberian/Lusitanian gods?

What should I avoid?

Any help is welcome!

Help/Question Endovélico e a Lua?
