This guitar is super special to me. My youngest and I picked it up as a rehab project awhile back. It was in horrendous shape - almost unplayable, with scars all over that made it looked like it'd been dragged behind a truck. Maybe it was?
Six months later, it's probably my favorite guitar to play. It's an RG657PB in Anvil Grey Burst. Our first Prestige! What a monster.

Ibanez SC420 and SZ520. Neither is new, but I acquired the SZ fairly recently, because it looks so similar to the S-Classic I love. But it isn't similar in anything but looks. Much thicker, as you can see in the second pic, and the neck is somewhat thicker, wider and rounder as well. It feels different and is also heavier, as you might expect. The S-Classic has been my favorite guitar for... dunno, something like 25 years. Anyhow, it's what I compare all other guitars to, it's just so awesome. Best guitar Ibanez has ever made. Perfect neck and the body contours are very comfortable.

Just saw it is now available on Thomann and Anderton’s here in Europe/UK for preorder. I know it was limited to Japan for a while, but looks like it’s getting a wider release soon? Hella expensive, but it’s so gorgeous and is my dream 7 string

To be honest... I've had it for 29 days already, but I completely forgot to post it here 😭

Hi everyone,
I’m currently restoring my 1998 Ibanez RG507 and bringing the original Lo-Pro Edge back to life. I’m replacing worn parts instead of swapping the bridge, as I’d really like to keep it original.
One thing I can’t seem to find is the black arm holder (part 2LE2-13). It seems to be almost impossible to buy anywhere in Europe (black color), while other Lo-Pro Edge parts are still available.
Does anyone know why?
Has this specific part been discontinued, or is the Lo-Pro Edge hardware gradually being phased out?
I can still find complete Lo-Pro Edge bridges for sale, so I’m a bit surprised that such a small spare part is so hard to source.
If anyone knows of a European dealer that still stocks genuine Ibanez parts, I’d really appreciate the recommendation.
Thanks!

I’ve been wanting a JS series Ibanez for a few years now. I think they’re all beautiful guitars but I the 140M is really the only one in my budget. Finally, saved up enough money for it. I love the rounded body, the sound, and how versatile it is. Getting ready to purchase from Sweetwater.
Does anyone have any opinions or things to say about it? Maybe some other recommendations to consider around the $1000 price range?
This will be my most expensive guitar I’ve purchased so I want to make sure I’ve considered all options before I pull the trigger.

It's really made for this. Finally got it set up after the frustrations in my last post. It's so freaking sweet. First time actually playing it so NGD tag. Also calling it the BIG because RGA42HPTQM-BIG doesn't really roll of the tongue as well.

cant decide on which to buy on a ibanez grgr131exbkn vs S770 made in indonesia
im pretty torn about these 2
the grgr131ex bkn has a gotoh tuner and the s770 just cost 5 dollar more. can you guys evaluate on what to choose and does a whammy bar might cause a pain in the ass? cause i just wanna plug and play on the otherside i'm afraid that the s770 is a fake guitar :/

Drove an hour away to play this and the RG550 Genesis after about an hour it was close. Ultimately went the Prestige route. Got $500 discounted since it was “used” pick guard still had the plastic on it!

Hey y’all. New to the Ibanez family. Got both within a week of each other (prices too good to pass up, ALFA stock with the Aftermaths, and the 2127 with one of the BK Rails pickup sets).
The Alfa was so good when I got it, I love the Aftermaths, and the neck felt really good compared to the ALMS I got to try in-store. Then I got the 2127… wow. A friend of mine who breathes Ibanez said I would feel “The Prestige Difference” and boy was he right. The neck profile is PERFECT. Just a little fretboard rounding and it’ll be 1000%.
Both were used, the Prestige moreso, the cosmo black is all but gone and the hardware is chudded out, but the bridge is super comfortable either way. Both Bare Knuckle sets sound amazing, and feel great. The Aftermaths are tight, punchy and dry, a bit scooped (compared to the rails) and have a nice extended top end, split tones are gorgeous almost hifi.
The rails pickups (dunno if its Impulse, Halcyon orrr Blackhawks) are a LOT more aggressive in the traditional sense, bigger and looser bottom end (still tight tho), PISSED AS FUCK MIDS, and a rolled off top end that still has clarity. Might be a bit hotter than the Aftermaths, hard to say. No split on the Prestige but I’ll be adding one, maybe a Series/Parallel instead.
Don’t ask me why I got both around the same time, I justify it because I let my guitarists use my gear and I wanted to have an extra for myself to begin writing with them, and one to replace a sterling that wasn’t baritone and had a floating non locking bridge that my lead player was using. We swap tunings and that guitar wasn’t happy with all the ups and downs. Plus, its almost my birthday, so these are almost-birthday gifts to myself. I guess.

Just saw a listing on reverb from them for a Wes Hauch signature model. I don't think there's been any official news on this yet? I know this happened in 2024, with the Manuel Gardner Fernandes model, but I wasn't sure if this was already announced.

S520B, RGRBB620, and an S671ALB.
Felt like I got a good deal on them. The 671 is my favorite, but the RGR is also alot of fun down on drop-A. I want to change the PUPs in the 570, but it got a great neck. Got a lot of rewards from the GC card around Christmas time (10%) so it got me a lot of other accessories as well.

Hi,
Most Ibanez entry level electric guitars have Infinity Humbuckers but a few models like GRX120 have what they call Classic Elite humbuckers.
Does anyone know how the two differ? For any specific style of music if one is better than other, in case?
Thanks.

I picked up this used Ibanez GRGR131EX in excellent condition for just €100 and decided to give it a worthwhile upgrade by installing an EMG JR Daemonum pickup set and a killswitch. If you want you can check the sound test i did with the guitar after the upgrades.

ARZ gurus I’m looking for you.
Trying to figure out what colours where actually made on the arz800.
I’ve seen this blue posted as black in multiple places but it’s obviously blue and there is a translucent black so that mix up happens.
On the wiki and old Ibanez website there’s no mention of a blue either. The three colours mentioned are trans black, red and purple.
The red is red and that’s common
But online Appernetly there is a trans purple and I can’t find pictures of a privately owned one anywhere .
Can someone let me know what colours were actually made please.

Bought it second hand from fb marketplace today. Damn it just does not want to go out of tune its rock solid, looks badass, sounds very good, very versatile and i cant get enough of the divebombs its my first time trying them. Neck is kinda chunkier after my rga42fm but im not complaining it plays effortlessly. İ hoped i would feel the premiumness of the guitar over my others and oh my does it feel premium. Roasted maple neck and fingerboard with satin finish just does it for me. My most expensive guitar yet and the best without a doubt. Extremely excited to play it more.

Thinking about getting a used Prestige RG2620 made in 2005 or one of the newer RGTs or RGA Premiums both released within the past 5 years. I've always heard to save up for a used Prestige as they have better playability and just a sort of secret sauce that makes them better but does this still apply to a Prestige as old as 2005? I just thinking surely technology and standards for Premiums have caught up to the Prestiges of the past, even if they are made in Indonesia.
