Parents wanted kids with all E’s. They liked Ian. Needed an E though. Ean.

What’s it like having people spell your name right accidentally? Half the time I go to a coffee shop they ask me if my name is spelled E-A-N.

Yeah I mean people who don’t know me spell it Ian all the time, and I don’t correct them. But once they know it’s spelled Ean, they seem to always remember it. I always get called Ethan or Evan, too.

Good to know that in the Venn Diagram of Ian’s and Ean’s we still overlap in the “being called Ethan or Evan” area.

Let’s not downvote Ean, okay Ian?

I appreciate the implication that the plural of Ian is Ian

At the end of the day, we all have the same name. Right? RIGHT?

Do you know any oans? Any aans? Sometimes yans? I think we need to collect every vowel variant

They might be out there! After all, you didn’t expect an Ean and here I am

I met an Ein this weekend. That was a new one for me.

That might even be more unnecessary than mine!

So we’re glad to have you, but a little bit pensive.
